I would mention regarding the techniques that could be used for the purpose of project
selection on the base of research that I have carried out. The strategies that can be utilized in
selection of project and their processes include methods of benefit measurement and methods
of constrained optimization (Ghosh, Forrest & DiNetta, 2012). These methods are time taking
in nature, but employing them are necessary for executing an effective plan of business.
There are numerous methods that are documented for the purpose of selecting a certain
project, the basic among them includes the one that is used in the small projects or the
projects that are not very complex, this method is called benefit measurement model (Lloyd-
Walker & Walker, 2011). In case of large projects or the ones that are complex in nature, the

constrained optimization methods is better for usage. These methods have their own
characteristics and impacts, they also have their subcategories (Müller & Turner, 2010). The
benefit measurement methods is a certain method that is built on the current worth of the
outflow of cash as well as inflow of cash that has been estimated. The cost benefit is
calculated as well as compared to numerous projects for undertaking a certain decision (A &
Ehsan, 2010). The techniques that are utilized within this category contain gain or cost ratio,
economic model, cash flow that had been discounted, and opportunity cost. The method of
constrained optimization processes can also be called as mathematical model of selecting
project (Wysocki, 2014). This as mentioned above is utilized in huge projects which need
complex as well as mathematical calculations that are comprehensive. The methods that are
made use of in the constrained optimization methods include nonlinear programming, linear
programming, integer and dynamic programming, programming that has multiple objective
(Yang, Huang & Wu, 2011). There are numerous gains that are non-financial in nature and
which must be considered by a certain project, these aspects are relevant to the overall
objective of the project. The organizational strategy must be considered as a major aspect in
the selection of the project because it tends to affect the choice of the organization.
Relationships of the customer service are also considered to be chief among the
organizational goals. According to me it must be considered because customer service
relationship within a certain project is an essential aspect in today’s business (Costantino, Di
Gravio & Nonino, 2015). This is because most of the projects aims in building effective as
well as cordial customer relationships. Some more organizational factors that could be
included are political issues, change in management, requests of stakeholders, speculative
purposes and many more.

certain project manager for having numerous traits that include proper leadership skills like
knowledge of business purpose of the decision making and project, skills for solving
problems, understanding as well as balancing priorities. according to you project manager
must have the ability to encourage the members belonging to the project for the purpose of
working together as team, he must also have ability to help the project to move towards the
success in busy time period as well. You have also mentioned regarding the fact that a project
managers should be having sufficient knowledge regarding perviousness or onward records,
this would help him in describing it in a sufficient manner. You have provided your real life
experience regarding the approaches that might be utilized in the selection of project and their
procedures. The experience that you have shared include the project of your sister’s marriage.
You have mentioned the stages of project management and the format in which they should
be carried out. You have mentioned that initiation phase is the initial phase that must be
