Section 1:
Introduction
I am Perala Ravi Teja, and I am 24 years old. I belong from Telangana, India. My graduation
completed in the year 2015 in Bachelor of Technology stream (Mechanical Engineering) with
57.6%, 12th was completed in the year 2011 from SR Junior College for boys with 84.5% and the
matrix was completed in the year 2009 from Oxford High School with 87.6%. My technical and
soft skills are mechanical drafting, Autodesk AUTOCAD software, business communications
skills, presentation skills, design thinking and behavioural skills. I also took part in many college
festivals as a coordinator of the programs, and I was also the pupil’s leader at school. I am
comfortable in speaking my mother tongue Telugu and Hindi, and I am also fluent in global
language English. I got the experience of how to manage crowds and groups from coordinating
many college festivals. I am extremely confident and enthusiastic person. I always try to find
appropriate solution that can convert my challenges into opportunity. I believe that only and only
by having positive attitude might not complete the task, but positive attitude will give you the
ability to deal with the work pressure, time management, dealing with people, threats in the
market, people’s view. Etc.

Section 2:
In future, I want to establish my career as the project manager in the mechanical field because I
completed my Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical stream. I always enjoy working and
studying about the Mechanicals as in this subject all the scientific principles related to design,
analyse, maintaining, manufacture, physics and mathematics studied. In this field, it requires to
have a core and deep understanding of areas that includes dynamics, thermodynamics, structural
analysis, material science and electricity is needed because these areas are inter-related with all
the mechanical fields. The report of the multinational company “Deloitte Global” states that the
upcoming future and scope in the mechanical field are considered bright like the Sun and this is
the time when students developed their area of interest in the growing field. The demand for this
industry is rapidly showing upwards curve locally and internally because this field includes
umpteen types of work. Principles of mechanical engineering used everywhere whether in power
machines like generators, washing machines, refrigerator, air-conditioner, etc. the people who
have a core understanding of mechanical field can execute this work effectively and efficiently.
International companies and the market generally prefer that candidate who have MEC E degree
as that candidate have skills in designing other machines also that are used while completing
constructing work, elevators, etc. These candidates can also handle the computer-related work
easily, and they also use the latest computer technology in making and understanding designs.
Moreover, candidates from engineering background are responsible for the integration of
sensors, controllers and machinery.
International Job Prospects:

The job options in the global market are in abundance for new graduates and experienced
holders, people are getting high remuneration after being graduated from this stream, but before
getting selected in this industry, these international companies conduct the skill test to judge the
accurate strength on the subject of the candidate. After clearing various test or stages, the person
is eligible for on job training and he/she also get paid for it. Candidate got the offers of the
following job profiles to mention below:
 Engineering product tester.
 Manufacturing Engineer.
 Design Engineer.
 Development Engineer.
Challenges in this field:
From the 19th century, sciences invented various innovation that no-one can even think for that
before. During this time, significant changes are electricity that can lighten up the world,
travelling throughout the globe is become ease, computer and latest technology are rapidly
increasing the knowledge of the person. Now, at this time we start taking innovations for
granted because people start thinking that engineers daily find new technology and innovation.
This is a very proud moment for an engineer that the world is thinking that his field can produce
any innovation on a daily basis. However, this opportunity also brings challenges also.
 Artificial intelligence and virtual reality: This innovation is marked as the blessing for
this century, but the major challenge in this innovation is the coding and sustainability.
Artificial intelligence can only do a task for which they are coded (coding); they can’t
process their knowledge or intelligence. Engineering is working hard on the intelligence

level of robots, and they are careful also because it may be possible that robots and
artificial intelligence can become a distraction for the world too.
 Better medicines – Major challenges for an engineer in the field of medical industry is
making better medicines after using the genetic information. Engineers should deliver
new drugs and vaccines that can eliminate virus or diseases.
 Clean water problem – The world is keeping expectation from the engineers and scientist
that they will innovate advanced technologies that will able to convert sea water into
fresh water. The whole world for millions of years will get benefit from this innovation.
 Prevent nuclear terror – The complete population of the world feels very depressed when
they though what if nuclear weapon realised in the air? Engineer is facing a challenge in
finding the solution for nuclear terror.
Improvement strategies for engineers:
 Learning should be continuous: College , theory books, school and extra work prepares a
candidate only to a certain level. For becoming an expert in this field, should never stop,
this should be a continuous process through the life time.
 Update the technical skills to the current scenario: Always stay connected with the
environment that provides the latest knowledge on the technical skills because the world
is changing rapidly and new technologies are emerging daily. So, it’s essential to keep
the knowledge as per the standards.
Investment: Investment in this field is limited to the school, books, college and university
annual fees. Fees for the education institution are department country-to-country and state-to-
state. However, if any candidate is interested in learning the engineering principles of
mechanical field so this is the best investment of his knowledge.

Section 3:
My goals in this field are to maintain a high standard level of core understanding in this topic and
to have excellence in technology transfer. I want to be a project manager in the field of a
mechanical engineer with the best company after completing my studies. I believe that engineer
is the profession through which I can be more financially independent, and I can give many
innovative ideas to the world with my creation. After completing my studies, I will have the
opportunity to spread my wings in the improving and testing of the company’s product. I want to
be a project manager in the company, this job is challenging, rewarding and exciting and big
MNCs particular demand for licensed engineers. The job of the project manager includes:
 Arranging a regular meeting with the team.
 I am keeping up to date with any policy.
 I am preparing a regular process report of my fellow team members.
 Maintaining accuracy while doing the work because if any mis-happening happens than
result can destroy the entire project and hard work of entire team will be gone.
 The project manager also acts as a medium between the high level of management and
low level of management.
 He also succour the organisation by accomplishing the goals of the company during the
period with his entire team.
These are the career goals of mine that I want to excel. The duties of the mechanical
engineer not limited to this, Project manager of mechanical also have to apply theories
and principles thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, materials, etc.

Section 4:
Engineers have to follow the proper code of conduct of the ethical values. These values include
the guidelines, rules and regulation to be a respected and successful engineer. Students after
completing and understanding these subjects, start doing unethical work which gives birth to the
destruction and that become harmful not only to themselves but also to the entire world.
Engineers study provides the knowledge vast knowledge to the students through this knowledge
they can even build artificial intelligence, nuclear power, water cleaner from salty to fresh, etc. If
any engineer who is extremely excellent in the engineering, if he handover himself in the wrong
hands (terrorists and those group who want to rule the world) then they can use them to build the
different-different nuclear energy for threatening the world. This will create the destruction in
this world, So it’s extremely crucial to thought the student from day 1 of their class about the
ethical responsibility of the engineers. These ethical values protect the self-respect of an
engineer, society, environment and the country. One can feel proud after following these ethical
responsibilities because these values have a profound effect on the engineers. It is very important
that knowledge should be hand over in the safe hands.
Ethical values of this profession:
 Safety and care for society is the prime responsibility of the engineers.
 I am giving the world or organisation a sense of security instead of thinking to breach
their computer data base.
 To take care of the environment also. They should make engines that produce no or very
little harmful gases because this is the best way to protect nature.

 Engineer is the profession that has hold the major standards, so it’s very important for
engineers to follow the honesty, compliance, integrity and fairness policy.
 Inventions should help the world in making a better place to live.
 If anyone wants to make weapons and nuclear energy than make sure you are only doing
this for the benefit of the nation or world. Not for the money and ruling the world. This
kind of task should be done under the eyes of government authority.
These are the several ethics principles of this profession which kept the candidate within their
limits. To be in limits is very important for an engineer as crossing the limit can bring destruction
in the world. For example, (real accident) Japan faces tidal waves and devastating earthquakes
regularly so generally, people prepare wood houses so they can build it again when the
earthquake happens on their nation. The reason for a regular or frequent earthquake is that
several plates converge below the country’s surface and it is also located at the Pacific Ring of
fire. Once upon a time, a combined team of engineer and scientist though that they want to stop
the frequent earthquake happens in their country. So, they make changes in the plates of the earth
through their deep understanding and experience. This experiment causes the most dangerous
earthquake in the country; Japan faced a lot of their property loss and population distraction.
This example is mention only to tell what could happen if the ethical responsibility of the
engineer didn’t follow. So, it's very crucial for the engineers to follow all the ethical policy, rules
and regulation to keep the world in the safe hands and make the world a better place to live.

This is my self-analysis of leadership and managerial competencies with socio-cultural and
personal skills.
Leadership: I am perfect in the direction as I already mention in my resume that I act as a
coordinator in the various college festivals. By handling the college festivals that gives me a
sense of leadership quality, in my college festivals I coordinate the programs, arranging and
managing the participant is my prime responsibility. By doing this work my ability to handle the
team increased and I know it very well how to manage people. I also experienced the threats and

challenges that come while managing the team. I will gain more experience in leadership; once I
get selected in top-rated MNCs as a project manager.
Organising: I am an organised person. I want every thing, task, activity, general, etc. in the
organised form. Although my planning strategy is not very good, I am working on it. Once I get
a plan in my hand, I make sure that the plan is organised very well under my leadership. I work
as per the planning requirement, and I also complete my target as per deadline mention in plan.
Team management: I can manage and provide direction to a team for a common purpose. I can
act as a member or a leader both in the team. If I am a member in a team leader, then I make sure
all the things are going as per the team leader’s requirement, and if I get the chance to guide the
team as a team leader, then I make sure that everyone is working effectively and efficiently. In
short, my team management is as good as my leadership, organising behaviour and skills.
Cognitive skills and knowledge: I acquire both skills of the mechanical field that is soft and
technical. In my soft skills, my presentation skills and communication skills are strong. I always
focus on technical more than the theoretical because my all the query automatically get solved
once I performed the practical part of the work. I always try to perform a demo task whatever is
mention in the theoretical part of books.
Communication: My communication and other social skills are very good. I know how to deal
and interact with the people and in board meetings. I always try to improve my communication
skills by learning new words and interacting with people.
