1. Introduction
The project focuses on the construction of a new flyover by the ADCO construction
organization on the pacific highway road of Australia. It is identified that the flyover was
constructed in order to reduce traffic congestion on the roads of Australia (Roads and
Maritime Services 2017). In addition to this, the flyover construction helps in providing
proper as well as smooth system of transportation to the people of Australia.
The report is mainly based on a business case that generally contains several
objectives of the project. The paper also identifies project milestone, schedule, resources as
well as risk that are associated with the construction of flyover. It is identified that the report
elaborates several measures that are helpful in mitigating the risks that are associated with the
construction of flyover.
2. Project charter
The condition of the road as well as traffic in the Pacific road of Australia is in poor
condition due to the increase in the number of vehicles in the last few years. It is identified
that the Pacific road of Australia does not have any flyover bridge and as a result traffic
congestion on the road is high. For mitigating this problem, the government of Australia
proposed the project of flyover construction and provided the project to the ADCO
construction company. The construction of flyover not only helps in mitigating the problem
of traffic but also helps in providing proper as well as smooth travelling experience to the
people.
2.1 Objectives of the project
The objectives of the project are as follows:
 To construct a flyover on the pacific road in order to control traffic congestion

2.2Importance of the project to the organization
The project “construction of flyover on the pacific highway road” is considered as
one of the important project because due to the construction of highway, the government of
Australia is able to provide safe as well as smooth travelling experience to the people. In
addition to this, the people do not have to face the problem of traffic congestion.
2.3Scope of the project
The scope of project is categorized into in-scope and out-scope.
In-scope: The in- scope of the project is as follows:
 Construction of flyover on the pacific highway road
 Diversion of road traffic
 Construction of footpath
 Lightening the bridge
 Completion of project within estimated budget as well as time
Out-scope: The out scope of the project is as follows:
 The scope creep of the project will not be managed
 The details of the suppliers are not provided in the project
 Training is not provided to the team members of the project
2.4Business case
It is identified that the flyover that was proposed to be constructed consists of 25
degree slope and it is of length 500 meters. It is estimated that the entire project of flyover
construction will be completed in 1 year (Roads and Maritime Services 2017). In addition to
this, proper central lightening arrangement was also present on the flyover bridge.

stone, sand, cement, steel and more.

Supervisor: The supervisor is the person who mainly engages in supervising the

completed within the time that is estimated in order to achieve the goals and objectives of the

Proper utilization of resources: The project team members must utilize the project
resources properly so that the resources can be properly utilized within the project.
2.10Lessons learned
The lesson learning that is achieved from this project includes:
 The project members agreed on the scope of the project that is one of the activity of
project planning
 The issues related with construction are identified and those proper mitigation
measures are provided (Arends 2014).
 The project must complete within the estimated budget as well as time that is
estimated
 Proper meetings from time to time must be conducted in order to communicate about
the project work for making the entire construction of project works successful
(Crawford 2014).
3. Conclusion
It can be concluded from the entire assignment that flyover construction on the pacific
highway road of Australia is quite beneficial as it helps in reducing traffic congestion. It is
identified that the construction of flyover also helps in providing smooth as well as safe
travelling experience to the public of Australia. In this report, the cost as well as time needed
