1 INTRODUCTION
The report is based on explaining three of the learning outcomes such as explaining of the
reasons behind adoption of project management methodologies by the organization. Second
learning outcome is based on analysing the impact of the project management methodologies
on the stakeholders and final outcome is to provide justifications of the elements of project
management methodologies to meet with needs of the organization.
2 COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
2.1 Learning Outcome 1: Explain reasons why organisations adopt Project Management
Methodologies
The project management methodologies are adopted by the organization to define the roles
and responsibilities of the project team members in respect for each project activities. There
are various project teams into the organization which manage the project in efficient manner.
Using the methodologies, effective decisions are to be taken otherwise there is delay into the
project (Binder 2016). Into the project initiation phase, there is common set of project
processes which ensures that the teams as well as stakeholders are expected to deliver the
project on time to their client.
The project management methods are followed to help avoiding the common situations which
are raised from failing to manage the project. The methods provide project management
framework for managing the tasks which are required to be done (Bongiovanni et al. 2015).
As the project work is relied on people, therefore roles and responsibilities of the team
members are perfectly defined. An effective method helps to manage the project scope and
project deliverables.
Summary
The project management methodologies are implemented of specifications into the customer
requirements, concept, creation of the physical products and validation along with product
installation. It is collaborated effectively to provide required project works.
Evidence
I have used of project methodologies while I am working in a project which helps me to take
of possible decisions regarding the project activities and collaborate with the project team
members.
2.2 Learning Outcome 2: Critically analyse the impact of Project Management
Methodologies upon stakeholders
The project management methodologies provide a great impact on the stakeholders to
improve chances of the project execution along with organizational success. The project
manager is seeking to meet with the project goals among the stakeholders such as project
team, management and customers (Hornstein 2015).

The project team members face of difficulty on how to execute the project while maintaining
of the project goals as well as milestones to ensure about the project schedule. The project
management methodologies identify as well as manage the project stakeholders which
improve the chances for successful execution of the project along with its organizational
success (Schwalbe 2015). It is ability of project manager to seek agreement on the project
goals among the project stakeholders.
Summary
The project management methodologies are used to prevent the project delay, missed project
opportunities as well as negative financial impact. Changes into the project plan results into damage
towards the reputation of organization . The project stakeholder approach is included of project
leadership.
Evidence
I have seen that the project methodologies provide impact on the project stakeholders as we used
those methods to perform all the project related tasks. It helps me to gain more skills as well as
knowledge to perform of the project related tasks.
2.3 Learning outcome 3: Explain and justify the major elements of a Project
Management Methodology that might meet the needs of an organisation
The major elements of the project management methodology are initiating, planning,
executing, controlling and closing of the project work. Initiation is done to describe the
project products, documentation of the project objectives. Planning is done to update the plan
as per project progress, executing is done to verify completed deliverables of project (Kerzner
and Kerzner 2017). Controlling is done to provide corrective measures to the project quality
and closing is done with documented acceptance of the project results.
The project manager plans the project from staring to finishing, following the progress of the
business in time by means of flexible management tools. The project management methods
are proved to be time consuming and suitable for making changes into business environment.
When the project has limited time and money, then it is maintained by project scheduling.
The methodologies which we are used to deliver the project are applying of various project
management principles, frameworks, processes as well as standards which help to provide the
structure to deliver. I have mainly used of PRINC2 methodologies to conduct any project
work (Binder 2016). This particular methodology controls the project work. It divides any
project into various stages such as plan along with processes which are to be followed. The
methodologies which are defined the inputs along with outputs to each of the project stages.
The project board is owned of the project work to get success.
Summary
With use of the project management methodologies, the project manager can able to deliver the
project work on time. The final deliverables of project is meeting with the client’s requirements
(Kerzner 2018).
Evidence

I have analysed that project methodologies is comprised of static phases which are executed
into the project plan. The methodologies allow increasing control over the project phases but
if there is change into project scope, then there is a change into project requirements.
3 DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSION
Throughout 12 weeks of learning about project management methodologies, I have
understood the fundamental knowledge and skills of the project management. I have used of
project methodologies into my project work so that we have able to take of possible decisions
regarding the project work. I have used of various ways to deliver the project work on time.
Mainly, I have used of PRINCE2 methodology into large IT projects so that the work should
complete within provide time along with budget. The project emphasis are developed with
business case with the KPI along with value earned, roles, responsibilities as well as
managing of change and risks into the project to meet with client’s requirements.
