Introduction
Project management methodologies (PMM) are the set of well-defined steps used to
control the project from all angles (Karaman & Kurt, 2015). There are different types of
PMM that can be used on the basis of the requirement. Like in current case we shall
discuss about the different type of organizations working under different business
sectors with all different objectives of doing business.
The aim for developing the report is to define the different categories of PMM which
shall be applicable for particular case only and not in common. Because all projects are
different, and the two separate projects in the same organization can also have two
different types of PMMSs. The selection of methodologies depends on the expected
outcome and the process involved getting the outcome of the particular methodology,
so that accordingly the choice can be made. So we shall choose different applicable
PMM for the different organizations A, B & C.
The main objective of developing the report is to first select the best suited PMM, then
discuss in brief regarding the procedure for their implementation, issues we can expect
for the implementation process, then how we can encounter those issues and finally we
shall discuss the benefits of adopting the particular PMM for the given conditions of the
organization. This way we shall progress for the rest of the report and finally shall also
summarize the whole thinking process in the recommendation section.
Best Methodology for different Organizations
The different PMM for the separate organizations A, B & C shall be discussed by further
bifurcation of the topic of discussion in to several parts for its better understanding. The
different sections are discussed as below:
Selection of applicable PM Methodology (PMM) for the organizations
The PMM shall be selected very cautiously to gain from its advantages, because
on the other hand if it could not be selected properly for the given set of
conditions then it may create more problems for the system and the project may
need to generate unnecessary volume of documents and ultimately delay the

Then the next type of organization, that is ‘B’, the sector is ‘Building services’ which
requires the project managers to bind all the stakeholders and the organization also has
around 600 employees which a quite large number, so to control and set a single aim or
objective for the team is very much critical for the success of the project, so the best
applied PMM shall be PMBOK Methodology, because it has the five set of processes
which starts for the initiation to closing all the activities are well defied and the roles are
also clear. Since in this case once the project activities are started the construction
cannot be bring back or undone, so the check at every stage by regularly performing the
controls process of checking the scope, quality, time, cost , resources etc. can provide a
best output (Langley, 2016).
And the last type of organization ‘C’, the sector requires handling of multiple clients
being the technology services provider and that too with huge number of employees of
around 1200 numbers spread all over the world is having a potential of getting diverted
from the main objective set by the sponsor of the organization and get effected due to
the environmental factors at different countries with different set of regulations. I
suggest the best PMM shall be PRINCE2 Methodology, where the Board Members take
the control of the project by setting all the constraints of time, cost resource and quality
and develop the plan for throughout the PLC (project life cycle) and can handover the
daily targets to the different project managers working at different countries to follow
and coordinate with the local counterparts to achieve the provided daily targets and
report the issues or the outcome after the day, by this technique the project objective as
expected and set by the organization can be maintained throughout the PLC (Pawar,
2015).
