Project optimization is defined as the approach to find the solutions from the alternative options
to use the most cost effective method which supports in achieving the performance of the project
within the given constraints; this is done by increasing the desired factors and aspects
(Moghaddam, 2019). This supports in reducing the wastage of the project by reducing the
undesired factors and aspects. Therefore, this also supports in effective management of the
project by optimizing the critical factors in effective manner. Project management is the practice
of defining, executing, controlling and reducing the team work for accomplishing the objective
of the projects so that goals will achieved within the required time period. Therefore, there are
various initiatives which organization to provide information regarding the logical steps of
project which includes project initiation, planning, execution, controlling and closure so that
project is optimized in effective manner (Moghaddam, 2019).
The project management requires planning, directing and various other factors such as skills,
knowledge, time, cost and various other factors which the formulation of project management.
However, optimization on the other hand supports the managers to make optimal decisions
regarding selecting the most adequate project by determining the activities and procedure which
is to be followed in the project (Moghaddam, 2019). Therefore, researchers revealed that there is
various importance of project optimization which includes making key decisions so that effects
of negative consequences on the project will be reduced. The other importance is to describe the
various variables which are important for developing the project and for making manual
decisions regarding the subject matter. Therefore, researchers also revealed that there are various
methods and concepts which are used in project optimization such as modeling of the network
that is all the project activities such as scheduling as well as sequencing. The other activities
include methods which are used for allocating the resources and evaluation of the project
(Moghaddam, 2019).
Project management and optimization supports in effective management of the project and
focusing on the key areas of the project so that problems will be reduced and inefficiency in the
decisions is also reduced (Moghaddam, 2019). It also provide information regarding the project
planning theory and procedure which the plan and procedure to maintain in hierarchical order so
that the framework for which the project is described. The objective of the study is to understand
the application of optimization in the project management. This supports in providing data

regarding the changes in the trends in the 79 years period, it also describe the data regarding the
areas, directions for which there will be changes in the trends. To accomplish the main motive
the other sets of the objective are also described the studies which give appropriate data about the
techniques which is used in applying the optimization of project management (Moghaddam,
2019).
This topic is selected by the researchers it is because the estimation revealed that there are
various areas in which the project managers focus on providing the possible manner which is
used in making the decisions (Moghaddam, 2019). However, earlier organization focuses on
describing the strategies and approaches which are used in effective project management and
nowadays the concentration is shifted in defining the optimization of the project. Therefore, in
the current project managers used various dimensions for managing the project in successful
manner so the optimum usage of the resources is done it also describe the tools which are to be
used in defining the planning of the multi-purpose projects and describe the overall ideas and
approaches which are used to purpose the project and describe the activities which are to be used
in the project so that effective project is developed according to the needs and requirement
(Moghaddam, 2019).
The data collection was done through adopting the secondary method that is by involving the
existing literatures in the data collection. In this approach researchers provide various
information about the different opinions and ideas of the authors regarding the particular area of
the study (Moghaddam, 2019). In this research the articles are selected from the year “1940 to
2019” because of revealing the traditional and new information about the project optimization
and management. This is because this leads in giving adequate information about the factors and
aspects which is used by the project managers in earlier year and in the current year. The articles
are selected from the specialized field so that accurate information is gathered which includes
“Journal of scheduling”, “journal of computing and civil engineering”, “management science”
etc (Moghaddam, 2019).
The investigation of the study revealed that in the current year project management and
optimization trends changes because nowadays project managers focuses on providing answers
about the different areas that is whether is highly profitable in providing efficient results and
dynamic to adopt external changes. The other aspects are that defining the positive and negative

aspect of the project so that it can make decisions regarding the reduction of the wastage and
negative aspects of the project (Moghaddam, 2019). This supports in make efficient decisions
and describing the methods which are to be in successful management of the project. The
findings of the research also describes that project manager in the current year focuses n
describing the time, cost and effort which is to be made in the project and focuses on developing
the plan and framework which describe various important situations and areas through which the
opportunities, situations and other aspects of the project is discussed (Moghaddam, 2019).
Therefore, in the current trend “resource allocation method, project evaluation method” is used
for efficient optimization.
The study concludes that study concentrate on answering the optimization techniques which are
used by the project manner. Through the analysis study revealed that science is considered
important and major aspect to provide adequate information about the objective therefore present
study used to advancing the objectives of the research. The findings revealed that project
managers highly focused on performing the scheduling and sequencing activities. It also
concentrates the project manager to perform on other areas which includes resource allocation
and evaluation of the project.
