Answer to question number 1
As per the PMBOK guide, the project management processes are mainly the set of
interrelated actions as well as activities that are generally performed for achieving the specified
results that are helpful in transforming an input into output by utilizing different types tools and
techniques which are helpful in driving the project from the initiation to the closure phase
(Hermano & Martín-Cruz, 2019). In addition to this, the processes of PMBOK helps in acting as
a roadmap in order to keep the entire going on the right processes which are mainly dependent
on the sound principles which are very much beneficial for the project success.
If the PMBOK based processes are mainly used for developing a CRM system then the
work or project activities needed to be executed in the phases which are listed below:
Initiating: It is found that for developing the CRM system, proper vision for the project
is developed which is further approved by the project sponsor. Additionally, the manager mainly
creates the business plan and undertakes proper feasibility study for assuring that the project is
quite feasible (Varajao, Colomo-Palacios & Silva, 2017). Moreover, the stakeholders who are
required for the development of CRM system are also hired within the project.
Planning: Planning is identified as one of the crucial elements that helps in establishing
the total scope of the project. As per the PMBOK, the activities which are undertaken for
developing the CRM system include development of project budget, schedule, risks as well as
project milestones which are required for proper management of project work.
Execution: The activities which the project manager undertakes include proper design of
the prototype, coding, code validation, database development, interface development as well as
testing. All these activities are undertaken for successfully developing the CRM system.

Monitoring and controlling: While the other activities occur sequentially, the
controlling as well as monitoring of the various activities of the project that generally occur
within the entire project (Hermano & Martín-Cruz, 2019). As per the PMBOK, it is found that a

progress of the entire project.
Closure: Within the closure phase of the project, the entire project is reviewed and then
