Introduction
In this report, project management for the expansion of EBTH from the local auction site to a
national platform has been discussed. All the planning, resources, methods, risks and technology
used for the development of EBTH into a global auction site to be used globally for the selling
and purchase of estate items has been shown. It consists of PID, stakeholder analysis along with
risk register table and cost breakdown explanation for the complete description of the project at
various stages.
The main aim of this project is to improve the knowledge of project management activities and
their working along with different methodology used for the management of various projects.

Task 1.1 PID
Project Initiation Document also known as PID is one of the digital forms of documentation of
project which includes all the details of the project such as information about the project, its
members, stockholders, directions and different scope of the project which can be referred at any
time for the implementation and processing of the project.

Corporate agenda: The main agenda of EBTH is to grow from a local auction site based in
US only to a national platform available globally with the help of technology in order to
increase the sale. New partners are already added to grow the business on a global level.
Project Background: EBTH is an auction site which offers auctions in 27
markets in 22 states of US to help someone who has an
estate to sell, such as after a family member dies or moves
to a retirement home. Now they are planning to grow this
business to other parts of the world.
Project Benefits: Benefits to EBTH: The main benefit of this project for
EBTH is that their business will get a national platform
with the help of technology such as E-commerce website
and can sell their items in every part of the world. This will
increase profit as well as the sale of the company. It will
increase the list of items and options available on the site to
attract more visitors.

Project Objectives: The main objective of this project to globalize the auction
site of EBTH with the help of new technology in order to
increase the sell and to attract more visitors and increase
the number of registered bidders.
Project Deliverables: A new website or web application of EBTH with the help
of latest technology which has the option to sell and
purchase estate items from anywhere in the world.
This project will include: This project will include the complete planning of EBTH
expansion on a global level including designing of new
auction website, development of website from local to a
national platform, designing of the database for the new
website, budgeting and proper management of the new
global website.
Success Criteria: The success of EBTH expansion on a global level depends
on certain factors which are given below:
Proper designing of the new website.
Development of a new database for the website.
New management system for shipping in every part of the
world.
Compatibility of the new website for different users.
Key Assumptions: Different assumptions have been made for the expansion of
EBTH which are given below:
Shipping and pickup by the buyers will be done all over the
world.
The auction will work globally.
Buyers and sellers will take part from all over the world.

The sale will be increased from $8 million to $70 million.

Task 2 Gantt chart and business case
The Gant chart of this project has been developed using MS Project platform where the overall
project has been divided into eight phases which consist of different activities under each of the
phase. Different phases of the project are as follow:
Initial phase: It consists of planning, review & research work and finalization of the plan.
Meeting: It consists of meeting with all the members of the team and the stakeholders, their
feedback and final evaluation after correction on feedback from the members.
Concept development: It consists of the development of the concept for the new platform of
EBTH, risk evaluation and approval of the concept from the members.
Selection of web application platform: It consists of research done on different e-commerce
websites and their documentation for the implementation of this project.
Implementation: It consists of designing and implementation of new web application of the
EBTH expansion on the global level.
Testing: It consists of various testing done on the newly designed web application of the EBTH
and recording of errors which needs to be corrected for the proper working of the website.
Correction: In this phase, correction of all the errors have been done which has been recorded
during testing.
Submission of the project: It is the final stage of the project in which project has been finalized
and submitted for the documentation and for the use by the customers.

It helps in the calculation of the estimated cost of the project which is $1,048.00 based on
different resources used in the project and their efforts used from starting to finalization of the
project.
