environment for the students to access to technical equipment.
The case scenario is based on developing a new QAHE Recreation mobile phone app
for providing details to the students and increasing their engagement. The app provides
details of various events, publishes events and links to contract details.

better understanding of each project tasks along with its subtasks. From above WBS diagram,
it is shown that the level 1 activity is development of recreation of mobile app. The second
level or the main project activities into the project plan are development initiation,
development planning, development execution and development closure. The identified
project milestones of the project are end of phase 1: initiation, end of phase 2: planning, end
of phase 3: execution and end of phase 4: closure. Level 3 and level 4 are the sub-tasks of the
main activity.
The project Gantt chart is also termed as horizontal bar chart used to provide a
graphical illustration of the project schedule. It is important for project management to
illustrate the total project schedule and project task names (Binder 2016). Below figure shows
that the total duration of the project is 30 days. The horizontal axis represents the total time
required in days and vertical axis represents the project tasks required to develop mobile
application. As there is increase in project progress of the main activities or sub-tasks, there is
an increase in darkened bars to indicate completed time. Table structure of WBS in shown as
Gantt chart.

CPA is a project management method used as sequence of the project tasks that can
determine the longest time required to complete the development work. It is important for
this project work to analyze longest sequence of the tasks into development work that should
be completed on time to meet with its deadline. It is helpful for determining the critical
project tasks to complete work (Uhl and Gollenia 2016). Based on the case scenario, the
critical path is important to analyze the critical activities for development of mobile app.
