1. An overview of the scenario
This project report reflects the role of professional project management practices that are
needed to be widely followed by the project manager and project team members to ensure its
success. The case scenario is about relocation of a family of a two adults Jeff and Kelly along
with their 2 children Will aged 7 & Lexie aged 12, a car and their dog named as Buddy. Jeff has
recently secured designation of a marketing director interstate and currently mainly for the job
purposes the family is interested to shift to Perth from their current location the Sunshine Coast,
Qld. Currently the rental apartment where they are living is two bedroom in Maroochydore and
the new apartment which they have already rented is a four bedroom suburban house in Perth.
The new job of Jeff will be started on 5the February, 2018 and the school session of their
children is going to commence on Wednesday 31th January, 2019. However, they have to vacate
their house on 20th January, 2018 in middle the one year they have to rent anther small house
nearby on the Sunshine Coast, Qld due to their children school. They have no relatives living in
on the Sunshine Coast, Qld therefore, rent is the only option left for them. Their expected budget
is $15,000 within which they have to accomplish the project. A details project WBS, including
milestone and activities are elaborated in this report to make the project must transparent and
visible.

following:

During the implementation of the project I have realized that in order to accomplish any
project successfully there are certain knowledge areas which requires major focus. The project
management practices include communication management, risk management, procurement
management, and logistic management. For this specific project these are the specific
components must be deeply analyzed to avoid overrunning cost and over allocation of budget. In
order to implement this project the project manager requires to follow basic five project
implementation phases in terms of project initiation, planning, execution, control and monitoring
and project closure. The output of one phase is used as the input to the very next phase In other
words the project management phases are all inter related to each other. Therefore, each of these
phase are required to be scrutinized during its design and implementation period. As the budget
estimated for the project is $15,000 therefore, the activities should be arranged such that it can
never exceed the estimation. As this project is not about any kind of Return on Investment (ROI),
thus the resources or each of the activities should have to be selected wisely.
The other responsibility of the project manager is to ensure that project is not at all facing
any kind of risks during its design and implementation period and even after its closure also. In
order to eliminate wastes from project the project manager is required to assign responsibilities
and roles based on skills and knowledge of the resources. In order to execute the plan proper
