Introduction
The following report is all about a case study named as Improving Public Health informatics. At this
event of breakout of the diseases, senior manager of this organization require response in timely way [4]. For
completing the analysis, the project manager needs to have proper data and information for making the right
decision. The senior manager of this organization needs to improve the informatics which can be stated as a
step for meeting the goals.
In the coming pages of the report, a report has been provided with respect to present communication
plan. After that, a comparison has been done with respect to communication plan assessment with respect to
project management practices. The next section of the report deals with list of recommendation and
justification for the communication plan in the case study.
Discussion
Report on the Present Communication Plan
Communication plan aims to make identification about the fact that how the required information will
be carried out with the stakeholders of the project. It is all about analysing who will receive what kind of
information [2]. It is all about analysing the point that how they should expect to the required information.
Poor communication can easily result in failure of project. So, as a result it can result in huge amount of
financial loss to the organization.
The current communication plan in improving country public health information system comprises of
large number of things like key stakeholders, issues amount the stakeholders, message that needs to be
communicated among the key stakeholders [3]. A list of communication method that can be used by
stakeholders of this project like email, meeting and conferencing. The present communication plan for health
informatics comprises of timing issues. The key stakeholders of this project are client, senior management,
sponsor, project team members, employees, subcontractors, suppliers, union agencies, news media,
community and many other people [7]. The major stakeholder issue in this project is all about providing
continuous information about the present status of the project. The project does not require any
subcontractor. The key stakeholders of the project are provided with information that is benefit of project in
the organization.
Communication Plan Assessment vs Project Management Practices
In this case study, the communication plan comprises of a list of things like key stakeholders, issues
among the stakeholders, key messages for communication, method of communication among the stakeholders
of the project, details of communication and lastly timing issues.

In a project, project requires to have clear overview with respect to the conceptualization of
communication a project [1]. In general, project communication plan comprises of eight important aspects that
is source, message, channel, receiver, feedback, environment, context and lastly interface.

messages [8]. Two of the important thing are taken into consideration that is audience and deliver time of
message.
Messages: It is all about analysing the communication that is the extent to which the actual words are
inclusive of large number of thing like delivery medium [5].
Channel: The communication plan comprises of various aspects like email, face to face communication
among the channel changes along with proper style of communication [8].
Receiver: It is all about understanding the recipient of the messages. Receiver can analyse the
messages for both kinds of meaning that is visible and invisible way [3].
Feedback: Feedback is all about collecting the require information of the receiver. Feedback is needed
for establishing clear communication among the stakeholders of the project [1].
Environment: It is all about carrying out discussion about the space in which the messages rely. It is
inclusive of both kind of messages that is virtual and physical environment [3].
Context: It particular parameter aims to provide description about overall expectation of the
communicating parties [4]. Context is known to be as one of the biggest contribution in some of failed projects.
Interference: It can be stated as anything that make changes in the messages.
Recommendation
The project manager at improving county public health information needs to address the following
point in the current communication plan like
Conducting an analysis of present situation: Project Manager needs to conduct an analysis with
respect the present standing with respect to present communication. Project Manager needs to collect and
analyse information within the organization. For proper audit of communication within the organization an
individual need to conduct a list of things like brain storming of staff members, making survey and focusing on
groups.
Defining the objectives of the Organization: After proper collection of the data, a proper definition
needs to be there for the overall communication objectives of the organization. The organization aims to follow
SMART objective.
Defining the key audience of communication plan: Project Manager needs to have an understanding
with respect to whom the messages are being delivered. It is the duty of project manager to list all the
organization inclusive of different aspect.
Justification

The proposed communication plan in improving health informatics mainly comprises a list of things like
content, purpose, audience, delivery and revision history [4]. The proposed communication plan aims to
provide an idea with respect to the list of things the organization wants to achieve. The proposed plan aims to
provide a brief description about the information that is shared and method of its distribution.
Conclusion
The above pages of the report help in concluding the point case study named as improving public
health informatics. Each of the communication of health services program comes up with information system
which is needed for tracking down information in the given work. The system is designed in such a reactive way
without taking account of future expansion on updated public health. In the report an analysis has been done
with respect to current communication plan within the organization. A proper comparison of assessment from
the case study and common project management practices. Publicly run projects are considered to be quite
different private projects. A list of recommendation has been given with respect to different communication
plan which require stakeholders from a range of sectors.
