AI Summary
This assignment presents a comprehensive project management plan and report focused on the implementation of an e-toll system on the Hyderabad ring road. The report begins with a project status update, analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cost and schedule variances, and provides detailed cost performance indices and schedule performance indices. It also includes a quality management plan, addressing client dissatisfaction and outlining strategies to improve project quality. The assignment further details the project's fixed costs, baseline, and task splitting using MS Project. The project is approximately 70% complete, with costs around 90% of the budget. The quality management plan details quality control and assurance processes to ensure client satisfaction. The MS project section includes fixed cost analysis and a demonstration of baseline setting at 30% completion, as well as the impact of split tasks. The report concludes with a reflection on the project's progress and challenges. The assignment adheres to the School of Engineering's requirements for the SEB723 course, submitted in May 2019.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Task 1: Project status report
1.1Performance measurement
Within the present situation, it is identified that the present project is 70% complete
and the total cost that is mainly utilized for completing the work of the project will be around
90%. It is the responsibility of the project manager to handle the entire situation by focussing
on the key performance indicators [9]. The performance indicators are considered as the
indicators of progress towards an intended outcome of the project. They are also utilized for
tracking the project in order to make sure that the entire project is on track and it will get
completed within the time and budget that is estimated.
The cost performance indicators are generally considered as the measure for the
financial effectiveness as well as efficiency of the entire project. It is identified that it
generally helps in representing the amount of the work that is generally completed for each of
the project unit [12].Moreover the cost performance indicators helps in analyzing the
efficiency of the cost that is generally used by the entire project as it generally helps in
measuring the entire value of the work that is generally completed in comparison to the actual
cost that is generally spent on the project.
On the other hand, time is also considered as one of the performance indicator that
further helps in analyzing the efficiency of the time that is mainly utilized by the entire
project as it mainly assists in measuring the entire work that is mainly completed [13]. If the
entire project gets completed within the assumed time then it can be analyzed that the project
objectives are generally met and it also helps in reflecting that the entire project is towards
success.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT
It is found that both the times as well as costs are generally considered as the
performance indicators that generally help in measuring the success of the project. It is found
that if the entire project gets finished successfully within the assumed budget and time then it
can be analyzed that the project is successful however, if the project does not get completed
within the time and budget that is assumed that the project is not towards success [10]. Thus,
it is analyzed that both the cost as well as the project budget are generally helpful in
measuring the project success.
The utilization of both the cost and time performance indicators are generally used
within the implementation of e-toll system in Hyderabad ring road that further helps in
reflecting the cost as well as performance indices of the project. The table that is provide

Task 2: Project management plan
2.1 Quality management plan
It is found that as per the present situation, it is analyzed that the client is not satisfied
with the quality of the output and have asked that the tasks cannot be progressed until the
quality of the project milestone is improved. As a project manager, it is the responsibility to
handle the situation successfully by properly focussing on the quality management plan so
that the entire quality of the project generally gets improved [1]. Project quality generally
helps in encompassing the various processes as well as activities that are generally utilized
for properly figuring out the entire project successfully for achieving the quality of the project
deliverables. Quality is generally what the customers or clients need from the project and the
main objective of the project is to satisfy the clients by meeting their demands.
It is found that as the customers are not happy with the output of the milestone then
the project is considered with no quality. It is found that even if the project deliverables helps
in meeting all the different aspects of the customers quite successfully, the stakeholders of the
project need to meet the quality of the project for satisfying the clients [3]. In the situation
when the client is not happy with the output of the project at a specific milestone then in that
situation, the project manager needs to cross-check the quality of the project or ensuring the
issues due to which the client used to stop the work at a specific milestone. Secondly, the
project manager must review all the requirements of the clients properly for making sure that
the project will achieve all the requirements as well as demands of the client and they then
they implement proper quality management plan [2].

without proper quality planning it is quite difficult to achieve the goals of the project. Setting
proper quality standards helps in successfully determining the scope of the project and it also
helps in reflecting the metrics that will be determined in order to make sure that the entire
project is successful [5]. On the other hand, setting smart benchmark is also important during
quality planning for ensuring that the achievement of smart benchmarks helps in reflecting
that the quality of the project is met and therefore the entire project can be delivered to the
clients.
The quality management plan that is developed for providing proper quality of
outputs to the clients mainly comprises of project deliverables, quality standards, quality
control activities, quality standards, quality assurance activities and more. It is found that
proper quality management plan that is developed will be helpful in fulfilling the needs as
well as requirements of the client that further fulfils the demands of the customers within the
project [4]. In addition to this, the customer’s expectations are generally elicited in context to
quality for preparing proper proactivity management plan for successfully meeting the
expectations of the project.
In order to manage the quality of the project further it is very much important to
control the quality of the project deliverables. Quality control must be done by the project
manager and the quality analyst must undertake proper inspection in order to ensure that the
proper standards of quality are followed within each of the phase off the project or not [7].
This is considered to be important for keeping the quality of the project on track. In addition
to this, the quality assurance generally refers to validation of different types of processes that
are generally utilized for creating the proper deliverables of the project.

for defining the practical approach for managing the quality including the various types of
applicable standards as well as quality processes. These are generally driven by the various
quality standards as well as quality processes that are generally contained within the blueprint

the team is important for achieving the project gaols and for meeting the expectations of the
customers.
Additionally, the quality of the project must be ensured by analyzing whether the
project has used all the required quality standards or not. The quality of the project should be
checked after each of the project milestone for ensuring that proper quality of the project is
generally maintained [9]. In addition to this, it is identified that if the project quality is not
analyzed to be appropriate at a specific milestone then the project manager will undertake
proper quality management work for meeting the quality standards and therefore the risks
that are generally associated with the quality gets compromised [7].. In addition to this,
ensuring that the deliverables of the project are free of defects and they generally focus on the
quality of the project from the beginning till the end of the project is helpful. It is analyzed
that performing inspections are generally used for determining the defects that further helps
