1. INTRODUCTION
There are various factors and elements which are to be considered while organising or
managing an event. There are various activities which are to be considered (Andersen,
Hanstad and Plejdrup-Skillestad, 2015). That activities are cost, resources management etc.
In the current project one day charity fundraising event is to be organised for cancer patients
at Twickenham stadium. The element which is covered in this report is cost management.
Furthermore, risk assessments and time management factors are explained for the
achievement of objectives.
2. PROJECT OVERVIEW
1. Definition
It is planned by the London School of Business Management to celebrate their end of
the academic year with an event of fundraising. They want to organise an event for the cancer
patients. It is expected to raise $2018. To organise and manage this event the main
responsibility is of project manager. It is needed to see by them that plan for the project is
made properly or not. For managing the event in effective and efficient way there are various
processes and procedures which are to be fulfilled. This will help in removing all the risks
which are associated with the plan and achievement of goals and objectives. There are
various types of risks which can be faced while conducting or organising an event in the
effective and efficient manner. To identify those risks is very important while performing the
activities which are associated with the event. After the identification of risks, it is needed to
set some strategies to implement all the activities in proper manner. The risk which are
associated with organising event for the one day are lack of funds, skilled and efficient
workers, problems associated with the technology etc. The first activity which is to be taken
in consideration is selection of the place where the event will be organised (Getz, 2017).
Large space will be required to organise the event. Many difficulties can be faced if risks are
not properly analysed. It will create the troubles in following plan effectively and efficiently.
This is the technique which is used to evaluate the different situations for the
achievement of objectives and goals. There are many types which can be used to find and
analyse the risks. That can be qualitative and quantitative methods. Analysis of risks can be

effectively and efficiently done with the proper process of monitoring. It is the duty of the
project manager to identify the risks at the earlier stage take some measures to eliminate
them. Providing opportunities to the people can minimise the negative impacts of the risks
(Risk analysis, 2017). It is because different perceptions will be carried by the various people.
2. Rationale
Focus of this event is mainly on the welfare of cancer patients. For conducting and
handling this event in the effective and efficient manner, there are various activities which are
to be set by the project manager. The main reason for organising this event is to help all the
individuals who are suffering from the cancer (Liu, Sparks and Coghlan, 2017). This will be
done with the help of worker whose skills and efforts will achieve all the goals and objectives
in effective and efficient manner.
3. Constraints
In accordance with the current event main constraint can be of the cost management.
If cost, is not managed carefully then the activities and steps which are to be followed well
not be achieved effectively and efficiently (Mallen and Adams, eds., 2017). However, time
can also be considered as the constraint. It is important to manage the time of activities in the
proper way if not, then it will affect the achievement of goals and objectives of event.
4. Assumptions
It is expected that all the objectives and goals which are set for this event will be
achieved. This will be very much helpful for the individuals who are suffering from the
cancer. Many skills of management and planning will be developed in me as a manager for
this project. It will make me to find the required number of persons for the completion of this
project. The activities which are to be performed for handling the project can go wrong and
will not be completed on time, if all the things are not planned properly.
