INTRODUCTION
Project management is the growing field that is used in several types of enterprises.
Being either entrepreneurs or company executives, everyone requires to deal with their daily
responsibilities to manage their business. It is important to use dedicated project managers
towards the project that is undertaken in the present study (Konanahalli, O. Oyedele and Ebohon,
2014). In this context, present report is based on the Wastson PLC which is British Leisure
company that make provisions and operations for private health and fitness clubs. For gaining
insight knowledge of the company, it covers skills and competencies which are required for
project manager to work in significant manner. Furthermore, it includes leadership and
administration to manage life cycle of the project.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT PERSPECTIVE
Skills and competencies required by the project manager
Mangers need to have competitive skills of leadership and management qualities in
several areas to bring effective results and assess behaviour of others. It will help to accomplish
desired results through developing fitness facility, swimming pool, etc. in new branch (Andersen,
Samset and Welde, 2016). In other words, competencies referes in the quality which assists to
make effective results to manager with their skills. Wastson PLC require ability to make
functions and operations within the leadership team. It assist to the chosen business to manage
consistent competency model. Following skills and competencies required by project manager:
Supervising other: Managing other people can be challenge for the new project manager.
This is because, it is not sure that project manager of Wastson PLC has full experience of
management. Training of new managers requires on what to do or what not to do. Therefore,
issues related with private health and fitness club can be minimized.
Resolution of conflict: At workplace there are many situations exist in which conflict take
place. Therefore, it is essential to manage conflicts at chosen business because it could impact

Intelligence of emotions: It can be develop within the capacity which make people aware
