INTRODUCTION
Project Management Process can be defined as the process of looking over the
implementation processes of the project carried out by an organisation (Project Management,
2019). The company chosen is for the completion of this assignment is Rimmel London, founded
in the year 1834 and is headquartered in London, England. The company provides various beauty
care products to their customers. The assignment will make its discussion about project
management, key stages of project management process, tools used in the project management
process and their implementation as Rimmel is working on bringing new product which is herbal
face wash for their customers. The discussion will also be made on the interest of stakeholders
and also provide evidence about the topic areas discussed in the class.
MAIN BODY
Project Definition
In simple words, project can be defined as the collaborative enterprise, which involves
major planning in relation to the achievement of some or one specific goal or objective of the
organisation. The main part of project is planning. On the other hand, project management
process in the management or administration of the implementation of the project in the right
way.
Key Stages of Project Management and Project Life Cycle
The explanation of the key stages of the Project Management Process which Rimmel can
implement in their own project of “bringing herbal facewash for the customers.” For this project,
the explanation of the different stages is provided as under:
Project Initiation: The following is the starting stage of the project and in the following
stage the broad explanation about the project is being provided by the business. Several measures
and explanation about the feasibility of the project and with the help of these tests, it will be
possible for the organisation to make the successful start of the project (Fuller and et. al., 2017).
After knowing about the proper project, the stakeholders of the project will provide their consent
on the starting of the project. The development of idea related to bringing new product came and
its feasibility is also checked.
Project Planning: This is the second stage of the project is project planning. In the
following stage the preparation and blueprint of the project plan has been made on which the

organisation need to work upon for the completion of the project in a successful way. This
blueprint of the project makes easier for the managers to decide about the completion of tasks
and also about their orders in which they are needed to be done. This stage focuses on planning
about different parts of the project in the organisation, what steps are needed to be taken such as
about raw materials, employees, costs and many more.
Project Execution: This is the third stage of the project management in which the
blueprint of the plan is now being implemented in the working of the organisation and the project
manager of Rimmel will make the implementation the plan on the basis of blueprint made
(Kerzner, 2017). Here, the work is now implemented in the proper way as the plan is prepared by
Rimmel's Project Manager.
Project Performance: The forth stage of Project Management focuses on the monitoring
on the performance of the work of the project on which the Project Manager of Rimmel is
working upon. In case the speed of the project is not upto the level in this case, the deviations in
the work will be eliminated with the help of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) which will help
in the successful completion of the herbal face wash launching project of Rimmel Company. The
performance of the project is measured whether the teammates working in the project are making
progress upto the level in Rimmel Company.
Project Closure: This is the last stage of Project Management and in the following stage,
the project is completed and the goal and objective of the project is also achieved and the
individuals involved in the project are thanked for their contribution in the completion of project.
After finishing the project, the teammates are thanked and the project is closed by Rimmel.
Tools used in the project management process and their implementation
Project management is possible with the help of some tools which are makes project
completed on time and perform actions in better and effective manner. There are many
individuals which are working in order to complete the project, so it is important to perform
actions considering proper tools and techniques (Kerzner, 2017). Project is time consuming
process, hence with the help of different tools, project can be completed within appropriate time
and achieving aims and objectives. There are different tools and techniques such as Gantt Chart,
WBS, Time sheets, Reporting, Dash boards, etc. There is discussion about some techniques as

Gantt chart- Gantt chart is the horizontal bar chart which consist of different project
activities in graphical manner. This is the best way to determine how much time will be required
by different activities for conducting operations (Kerzner, 2018). There is sequential order of
project activities with their respective time, so it is easy for team mate to complete project within
specified time. Gantt chart is useful for project because it can be easily framed for different
project activities. In order to implement Gantt Chart, manager have to make it earlier before
starting project. Managers of Rimmel can implement this technique for launching project of
Herbal face wash by pre- determining activities for it. This includes research of competitor,
identification of target consumers, developing marketing strategy and collecting expert views
which requires time of around 8 weeks.

WBS- Work break down Structure is the management technique which is used by project
managers to divide whole bulk of activities in small chunks. This assist in dividing different
activities among individuals and there is proper way of delegation of authority and responsibility.
This is the best way to complete project of launching herbal face wash by Rimmel because in
order to launch new product there are different activities which are complex. There is
hierarchical tree under WBS structure through which project activities are structured under
different department (Kerzner, 2017).

Evidence of Understanding of Stakeholders
These are the people who have their own particular interest in the project of the
organisation which the organisation is carrying out. The description of the stakeholders of the
organisation are provided as under:
Teammates: These are the person who are directly involved and actively working for the
achievement of the goal and objective for which the project is being carried out. Their interest is
because the success of this project will provide benefit to Rimmel as well as to them also in the
form of monetary or non monetary incentives (Kerzner, 2019).
Managers: These are those people who has made and presented the idea of new
development of the product in front of the organisation their interest is because they will be
promoted to next level in case the project becomes successful. It is also related to increase in the
goodwill of the Rimmel as well.
Shareholders: These people can be described as the persons who have their particular
interest in the working of an organisation because of the amount invested by them in Rimmel.
Their level of interest increases as the success of this project will lead to provide the shareholders
with high return on their investment made (Boyle, 2017).
CONCLUSION
From the above assignment, it has been concluded that project management is an
important aspect on the organisations must look upon to know about the feasibility of the idea
and about the progress of the project whether it is going in the right or wrong direction.
Additionally, the conclusion has been made about the interest of stakeholders to which the
company needs to focus also as they are also the ones who are connected and working for the
welfare of the organisation.
