the website. Videos will be prepared on the complicated topic. Thus, in this way students will be able
to comprehend topics in proper manner. There are three main objectives behind relevant project and
one of them is to control cost of the project. Thus, it is clearly indicating that cost related objective and
project both are related to each other. Main aim of the class is to provide more and more resources to
the students so that they can get practical experience to great extent in the educational institute. In the
portal that is prepared under the current project all relevant videos and articles will be placed. Thus, in
this way second objective is related to the project. Third objective is to taking assistance of professors
for preparing contents in such a way so that students can learn any concept in easy and effective
manner. This objective is linked to project where content prepared by professors will be published.
Hence, it can be said that in this way project relates to the objectives associated with the project. All
these things will lead to achievement of goals. Thus, it can be said that project is related to the

of 5 members who will be responsible for selection of
professors who will be responsible for preparing education
material for class students. There will be formal process under
which request will be received from the professors. After
scrutiny of request specific individuals will be selected who will
be responsible for preparing content of the study material.
Professors will need to prepare proposal under which they will
need to mentioned subject for which they intend to prepare
training material. Along with this, professor will also require to
mention way in which it will prepare study material. Thus, this
will be policy and procedure for selection of human resources
for the project.
Budgets and finance Budget and finance is the one of the most important aspect of
the project because it is life blood of it. Without budget and
finance no project can come into existence or run smoothly. In
order to finance project bank loan will be taken at low interest
rate. Most of budget amount will be financed from the retained
earning amount. After arrangement of finance one need to
prepare budget so that entire amount can be spend in proper
manner. It can be observed that in budget different segments
are prepared. Hence, fee that will be paid to each professor for
individual subject and for specific duration will be determined.
According to relevant value entire budget will be prepared.
Reporting There will be specific structure that will be prepared for
reporting purpose. Under this there will be senior professor
who will look after entire project and time to time will conduct
meeting with other professors about planning they have and
progress they have made in the project. In this way entire
reporting will be done. After receipt of the report, senior
professor sends that report to the class head. In this way,
entire communication and reporting happened across
structure.
Lines of authority and approvals As mentioned above there will be appropriate structure and
under this all professors will communicate to the senior
professor and then that person will communicate entire details
to class head. Thus, it can be said that class head will have
power to approve all proposals or reject same. Thus, it can be
said that this is one the most appropriate structure for the
current project.
Recordkeeping There will be a book under which all progress will be
mentioned. This is done to ensure that consistent steps are
taken to complete all project steps on time.
Question 4: Outline three documents and sources of information commonly used in defining
the parameters of a project. (3 marks)
The three documents and sources of information commonly used in defining parameters of the project
are given below.
Project schedule: It is one of the most important document under which multiple stages of
the project are mentioned in detail. Apart from this, duration within which these stages of
project must be completed is ascertained. In other words, it can be said that date and time
on which project activity must be started and completed is fixed. Thus, it can be said that
project schedule is the one of the most important document as it set a parameter in terms of
time period within which project activity must be started or completed at the workplace.

are prepared.

Risk management: There are number of risks that are associated with the project. These
risks may be cost elevation or delay in completion of project tasks. A separate documentation
will be prepared to manage risk under which varied risks will be listed and name of individual
will be mentioned who will be responsible to handle that specific risk. Apart from this,
measures taken to handle risk will be mentioned and at end it will be mentioned whether risk
control measures proved successful for the firm.
Project budget: It is one of the most important document wherein parameters will be set in
terms of budget value for each and every activity of the project. Efforts will be made to control
all expenses within this limit. By doing so it will be ensured that more then budget is not
spending in any project activity.
Question 5: What are the 3 project control methods? Explain with examples and mention what
type of organisations or projects might use each method. (2 mark)
1. PERT and CPM: PERT commonly known as program management and review technique
(PERT) which is network-based management method. It indicates flow of activities and
sequence in which same will be performed. This approach is mainly used in the projects
where duration within which project will be completed is not known to anyone. On other hand,
CPM is the other approach which is commonly known as critical path method. This approach
is used when projects are recurring in nature. Major advantage of using this approach is that it
indicates the time when specific task will start and will end. Thus, use of these approaches
help in cost control and timely completion of the project.
2. Documentation: Under this approach documentation is done under which quality control
manual is prepared. In this manual all procedures are explained in detail. Who will be
responsible for which activity and way in which it will be performed within specific time period
is clearly defined. Procedure for performance of activity is determined in such a way which
lead to control of cost. Person is made liable for performance of activity and by doing so it is
ensured that quality of its implementation will be maintained at the workplace.
