1. Introduction & basic parameters
Project management is considered as a critical process in any type of project. It connects all
the other activities of the project altogether. There are many of the activities that take place in
project management (Axelos, 2018). Here, the plan for managing the 94WBR-shed project is
developed. The various plans for meeting the needs of the clients and delivering the quality
project are developed. The different tool for managing the project is presented. The processes
that are used for managing the scope, risks, communication, human resources, procurement,
stakeholders, quality, time, cost, integration and safety of the 94WBR-shed project are
presented. The processes for managing these areas of the project are described to demonstrate
the understanding about managing the project.
2. Management of 94WBR-shed project
For managing 94WBR-shed project, five phases will be considered that are:
Project Initiation: in this phase, the requirements will be gathered such as client’s
requirements are identified and the changes in the requirements take place. In the end, the
phase ends with signing off of the requirements.
Project Planning: In this phase, the requirements will be addressed like budget,
requirements scope and timelines. The schedule will be developed after the project plan is
derived. Resources will be allocated as per the schedule and budget (Wrike, 2018).
Project Implementation: the team will carry out the activities assigned to them as per the
schedule and the progress will be tracked with project schedule. The senior management will
be provided with updates of the project progress. The cost and efforts will be tracked for
identifying the progress.

Project Controlling: with the help of the communication plan, quality assurance tests and
the project plan, the project will be controlled. The success of the activities will be
ascertained through comparing the outcomes with the planned outcomes.
Project Closing: after meeting the requirements, the implemented system will be handed
over and the project will closeout. The entire project will be evaluated and steps will be taken
to identify and reduce mistakes (Bisk , 2018).
3. TOOLS to manage the project
The management of the project is important in order to accomplish the project in the
available time and resources. There are different types of tools that are used for project
management such as Gantt chart, Work Breakdown Structure and logic network.
Gantt chart: Gantt chart is a project management tools that help in demonstrating the
relationship among the tasks. It also helps in tracking the time, demonstrate the phases,
milestones, resources and scheduling the project and the project activities (Maserang, 2002).
Hence, in the 94WBR-shed project, we can use this tool as it will help in establishing
relationship among the tasks, assigning resources, developing schedule and indicating
milestones of the project.
Work Breakdown Structure: it is mainly a tool for a hierarchical breakdown of the project
deliverables that are required to be accomplished. It helps in braking down the deliverables
into manageable parts that can be scheduled with cost estimation (Haughey, 2018). In the
94WBR-shed project, the use of WBS will support in breaking down the tasks of the project
into manageable parts and will also help in making the project and the associated people to
understand about the order of the tasks.

Logic network: This tool helps in demonstrating the sequence of the tasks or the activities in
project. It indicates which activity will logically take place first or follow another activity.
The milestones and the critical path can be identified through this tool. The dependencies
workflow and timescale can be understood through logic network (Haughey, 2018). In the
94WBR-shed project, this tool can be used for understanding the sequence, critical path, time
scale and workflow.
4. Managing SCOPE of the 94WBR-shed project
The scope of the project is to accomplish the 94WBR-shed project that includes some minor
demolition works in the backyard and construction of a large shed on the property on time.
The scope of this project can be managed through following the three steps that are planning,
controlling and closing which are the key steps in scope management of the project.
In the planning of the scope of the project it includes defining the work that should be
accomplished and planning to manage the project. Hence, this should define the work related
to 94WBR-shed project to be accomplished.
In controlling and the monitoring process, it is important to focus on tracking, controlling

strategies for the risks can be implemented that are risk avoidance, risk mitigation, corrective
action and risk acceptance (PB, 2018).
Risk Monitoring and Control: The monitoring of the risks on the regular basis will be
conducted. The changes will be implemented and the new risks will be identified through
evaluating and monitoring (Tutorials Point, 2018).

6. Managing COMMUNICATION of the 94WBR-shed project
In the 94WBR-shed project, the communication management is important for ensuring
appropriate and timely storage, distribution, collection and generation of the information.
This will consider that who need what type of information and at what time along with the
goal of communicating the information as well as the channel of communication. The
planning to manage the flow of communication among stakeholders will involve:
 Identification of information to be communicated
 Identification of the target audience for the communication
 Selection of the communication format and time
 Approval for communication
 Communication of the message through communication channel
 Collecting feedback and improving communication processes (Goudar, 2018).
7. Managing PROCUREMENT of the 94WBR-shed project
In the 94WBR-shed project, the procurement management is important for establishing
relationship with the vendors of the goods and the services throughout the product life cycle.
The procurements management includes mainly three processes that are:
Planning Process: In the planning process, the official plan for the procurement
management will be developed. The decision related to items to be procured internally and
externally outsourced will be taken. This will impact the financial scope and the budget of the
project. Sample documents of procurements will be prepared. The criteria framework for
selecting potential vendors will be developed. The selection matrix will be developed on the
basis of requirements, budget, risks, schedule and scope of project.

Selection Process: The different vendors will be compared and the best ones will be selected.
Procurement contracts will be decided and the resource calendars will be created. The
changes in the project will be made as per the resource calendars
Administration Process: The tools and techniques will be used for managing the

evaluated through centralized contract system to identify the need of change in the contract.
Closing process: It involves noting successful processes, weaknesses and summarizing

is the objective of this project hence the plan will focus on it for this project.

process checklist are the methods that can be used for quality assurance of the project.
Quality control: The verification of the project about whether the quality requirements are
met or not are included in this process. Quality control of project can be done through testing

Safety management is important for ensuring the safety and health at workplace. the process
includes:
Hazard identification and risk assessment: the hazards should be identified and assessed
on regular basis. It involves hazard identification, risk rating, control and review and taking
risk control measures. After identification, the rating to the risk can help in identifying the
high level of risk and the actions to control such risks.
Training and continuous improvement: the training should be provided to the project team

developed that provide the authority to the project manger to make use of the resources for
the activities of the project.
Development of Project Management Plan: the preparing, defining and coordinating all the
plans and integrating them in a comprehensive plan are considered in this process.
Managing project team: leading the team and implementing the approved changes for
attaining the objectives of the project is considered in this process.
Monitoring and controlling project: tracking, reviewing and reporting the progress in
comparison to defined performance objective are done in this process.
Performing integrated change control: reviewing the change requests, change approval,
managing changes, project management plan, project documents as well as communication
their disposition is performed in this process.
Closing phase: all the activities are finalized across all process groups for completing the
