AI Summary
This project is a student's PPMP20012 unit portfolio, which spans weeks 2-5 and focuses on the application of systems engineering concepts and methodologies in project management. The portfolio explores various aspects, including how systems engineering can aid project managers in organizing projects, the relevance of systems thinking, and the importance of selecting appropriate project management application systems. The student reflects on weekly readings, learning outcomes, and supporting documentation, demonstrating an understanding of program management lifecycle elements, concurrent engineering, and the role of a project manager in decision-making. The portfolio references key readings and case studies, providing a comprehensive overview of the subject matter and its practical applications. The portfolio also discusses the application of systems thinking, tools and techniques, and the importance of appropriate selection of Project Management (PM) application systems in regards to project realization. The student provides insights from the weekly studies and readings, including how different elements of program management are interconnected to each other.

In order to avoid overrunning cost and over allocation of time and
resources each of these applications are very much essential. The system
approach can bring all the project management system together to
implement any project successfully.
The role system verification and validation before implementing any
project are elaborated in this lecture slides. In addition to that, the
percentages of activity overlapping can also be determined with the help
of concurrent engineering process.
I have learned about the different elements of program management
lifecycle such as program benefit management, program stakeholder
management, program governance and program strategy alignment. In
order to enable business and enterprise, teams and individuals how
concurrent engineering is essential are also elaborated in this lecture.
I have also learned that with proper implement of program management
and system engineering phases the working efficiency gets enhanced and
as a result for the project manager’s decision making process becomes
easier to the project managers. A successful learning of the lecture slide
demonstrates the whole project life cycle and also the way through which
each project management elements are inter connected to each other.
