TEAM FORMATION
Section A
The team that have been selected is a team that used to be a top performing team in my previous
work place.
The team was assigned with the job of performing maintaining the delivery of the food.
The main factor that is to be considered in the process is that they had segregated the work
process among themselves. They had divided the entire work process in 4 sections. Each of the
team members were taking responsibility each of the section (McEwan et al 2017). This has been
one of the major reason that success of the delivering process have been on an increasing node.
The major factor that have been observed in the team have been the cohesiveness among
the team members. This is a major factor that affects the entire operational process. All the 4
team members were striving for excellence in their respective duties. This have been one of the
major aspect that is to be considered. Another advantage that is received in this case is that the
team members have been fond of each other. Another major aspect that is considered in the team
is that the communication in between the team members were very proficient. This was one of
the major reason that the entire working process have been on a higher node. The team members
were open to all the opinions of the other team members. This have been one of the major aspect
that is to be considered which have been facilitating the working process. This proper
communication process that is maintained in the team incurs the fact that proper discussions are
made before taking any kind of decisions. The team members also performed group thinking that
helped in proper understanding of the issues that had occurred that very day, so that they can
rectify the issue. Homogeneity in the thought process was present as well. This includes the fact
that the way the team members think are somewhat similar in nature. This can be treated as an

advantage. Another major advantage that have been seen in their team is that the size of the team
that have been considered in the process have been highly proficient and precise in nature. This
precise team size ensures that the communication process is performed in a better manner.
However there have been issues present in the team as well. The job role was initially
differentiated. However, even after proper segregation of the job role, the main issue that have
been seen is that there have been issues regarding the interference of the other team members in
others job role. However this also helps the team members and increase the team spirit, however,
at certain times the entire work process gets affected. As the team members are not always aware
of the working process of the other team members, this had led to a few conflict in between the
team members. Another issue that have been faced in the process is that there was lack of
stability in the working process. As there were no team leader allocated in the working process,
stability of the team was a bit low, however, they managed to perform properly. Another issue
that have been seen in their working process is that there was no project planning before they
started their regular duties. This was one of the major issue that is to be considered.
The changes that are to be brought in the process are as follows: -

TEAM FORMATION
Proper planning of the project is to be performed: It can be stated that the project
planning section plays an important role in the operational process of any project that is being
performed. With the help of proper project planning, the main advantage that will be received in
the process is that the different jobs that are to be performed are allocated and the hierarchy in
which the jobs are to be performed are properly stated. Hence preciseness of the entire working
process is maintained.
Another issue that have been considered in the process is interference of other team
members and lack of stability in the working process. Both the issues can be eliminated with the
help of appointing one of the member as the team leader. The team leader will be looking after
the stability of the team and hence wise no interference will be seen in the process.
The model that is reflected in the process is the Tuckman’s FSNP (FSNPA) model. As
per the model there are 5 major stages that are to be considered. The phases are namely Forming,
Storming, Norming, Performing and Adjourning. In this process of Forming process, the team
members meet for the very first time in the team. As in this case the team members met each
other in the work place and hence this ensures that the team gets formed. In this phase, the
ground rules that are to be followed are considered. After this process, storming process comes
into action. In this stage, proper communication in between the team members takes place. This
ensures that there have been a better assessment of the team. After this process, Norming phase
comes into action. In this process, the team members started feeling at home and they started to
maintain and accept the viewpoint of the other team members. In this phase the members already
start feeling that they are a part of the team. In the performing stage, the team starts working in a
proper manner and there is a flexibility in the working process. In this stage the hierarchy of the
team members are not considered and reaching the goal acts as one of the major aspect. In the

adjourning stage, the proper conduction of assessments is made and hence wise proper
implementation of the plan is performed. Roles and tasks of the team members are well distinct.
Section B
Personal analysis
Best way to work with me
I am a complete team man. Hence it gets easy for the other team members to work with
me. I have never been thinking of personal glory. The glory that have been mattering the most
have been the success of the team. This success of the team ensures that I have performed my
role in a successful manner. Another aspect that is considered in this process is that I have been
performing proper communication and this have been one of the major prospect that is to be
considered (Lacerenza et al., 2018). This quality of performing proper communication with the
team members ensures that there is a proper bond that is established in between the team
members. This ensures that the team members will be enjoying a transparent communication and
working process. Another major aspect that is to be considered is that I am very much data
oriented. This ensures that the decisions that are taken are completely data oriented (Körner et
al., 2016). This ensures that I try not to be biased while dealing with the other team members.
This ensures that there is less conflict due to my behavior. This ensures that there will be success
in the team management process (Bell et al., 2018). Thus it can be stated that there have been a
better assessment of the working process. I am a leader and like to lead the teams. Hence in case
I become the team leader my potential is used to the fullest. This ensures that there have been a
proper management of the leadership quality (Driskell, Salas & Driskell 2018). Another benefit
that my team members will be enjoying is that I am a good listener. This have been incurring the

fact that in case of any kind of issue in the team or among the team members, me being a good
listener, will be able to understand the problem and hence wise mitigate the same issue can he
made. I am always ready to help the other team members (O'Neill & McLarnon 2018). This
ensures that I will be going an extra mile to help my team members even when it is not related to
professional prospect (Lindsjørn et al., 2016). I am also reliable and responsible. This section
ensures that being reliable and responsible will be ensuring that the team members will be easily
reliable on me for performing a certain task. This ensures that there have been a better
assessment of the working process and success rate of the project increases when there
responsible and reliable team members in a team (Driskell, Salas & Driskell 2018). Another
major benefit that is received is that I am very flexible as a person. This flexibility ensures the
fact that I will be available throughout and the working process will be getting better (Bjurling-
Sjöberg et al., 2017). I am genuinely committed with the team and hence wise I have been
efficient in the working process.
