Project management refers to the process of managing the task with the utilization of specific
skills and knowledge in effective as well as efficient manner. With the assistance of project
management, the individual person leads the members and operation in order to accomplish the
goals of the organization. The present report will conduct the skills' analysis of the project
manager due to which the individual person determines the strength a weakness which supposed
to improve by the individual person. The aim of the report is to determine the skills which is
required for the project manager in order to improve the performance and skills in an appropriate
manner. Furthermore, the report will deliver the personal development plan in order to bring

Leadership skill: Project management is considered as the important part in the modern
business operations. Several companies are dependent on the project management to monitor and
evaluate the projects associated with the activities of the business. Project manager is responsible
for building and managing the projects of the business (Walker & Daniels, 2019). In order to
implement the activities successfully, it is necessary for the project manager to have required
skill and knowledge which can helps in execution of the skills. Leadership plays a very major
role in the organizational success. An effective leader provides focus to the team by clearly the
roles and responsibilities of every team member for achieving the goals and objectives of the
company (Iordanoglou, 2018). As a leader, project manager continuously evaluate and monitor
the progress of the employees and plan strategies if any improvement is required to achieve the
objectives. Being a project manager, I have the responsibility to control and influence my
employees to work towards achieving the goals and objectives which can be achieved through
effective leadership skills which motivate the employees to put their efforts in the achievement
of the organisational goals. I should focus on enhancing the participation of the employees which
in result helps in building effective teams which work co-ordinately for accomplishing the
objectives of the company.
Team building skill: Being a project manager it is very essential to have team building skills as
it helps in promoting organisational agility and also helps in taking right decisions associated
with investing in the technology and in skilled employees. The prime responsibility of the project
manager is to build an effective team. It is said that team building includes the spectrum of the
management skills required to identify and integrate various tasks from the traditional functional
organization into project management system. It is the responsibility of the project manager to
create environment which enhances team work (Davenport, 2018). As a project manager the
surroundings of the company should such that the team members are committed to the project
and there should be communication within the team members. On the other hand there should be
availability of the required resources needed in accomplishing the project work .One of the most
important that every team member should be committed towards achieving the goals and

performance. The project manager uses various motivational theories in order to understand the
needs of the employees and various factors that can enhance their performance and apply in the
management. It is the responsibility of the manager to understand the requirements of the
employees by communicating and interacting (Wateridge,, 1997..). On the other hand they should
reward and appreciate the employees for their performance which act as a motivator in
enhancing their performance. Being a project manager, it is my responsibility to interact and
understand the issues and requirements of the employees which will helps creating healthy
relations within the organizations. The Project manager should give feedback to the employees
for their performance and convey the areas of improvement and support the employees in
accomplishing those goals which can helps in their personal and professional development.
Communication skills: Communication is considered as an essential component in any
company. It is very important for an individual to effective communication skill to perform their
job role. Without having strong communication skill it will be very difficult for the project
manager to effectively accomplish the given project. Communication is considered as an
important aspect in the project management (Smith, and et.al., 2018). Having strong
communication skill will help the manager to effectively coordinate with the team members
while performing the project task. It helps in building strong bond between the manager and the
teams which can positively reflect on their performance. As per the MBTI analysis , I have
good communication skills which can help me attaining my future goals and also helps in
personal and professional development. In the context of breadth of communication the manager
has to continuously involved in interacting and explaining about the concepts to various
members which also helps in enhancing their communication skills.

Influencing: Influencing skills is considered as an essential component of theinterpersonal skills
and influencing skills refers to the act of affecting the behaviour and actions of other people. In
the project management it is sole responsibility of the project manager to control all the teams in
performing the task but when leading the team, the project manager cannot rely on the authority
alone and in that case influencing skills is required in case where conflicts arise in the
organisations (De Rezende & Blackwell, 2019). It is necessary for the project manager to have
influencing skills that helps in understanding the attitude and behaviour of the team members. It
is also necessary of the project manager to improve their active listening skills and understand
the behaviour of the employees which will also helps in improving the communication skills.
Decision making skills: Decision making skills are critical for the success of any business as the
quality of the decision will determine the effectiveness of the project manager. The project
manager has the responsibility for taking decisions regarding the project. In order to get the
desirable results, it is important for the project manager to consider every aspect while making
decisions (Márquez and et.al., 2020, ). In order to achieve this goal, it is necessary to evaluate
every areas of the project before making any decision as it can have negative impact on the
business. While making a decision, the project manager has to consider various points such as
timeline in which the decision is to be made, all the facts and information. From the analysis I
observed that my decision-making skills are good but not as effective that is required to attain the
positive results. It is important for me to make improvement for successfully achieving my future
goals.
Political and cultural awareness: political and culture awareness refers to the tools and
techniques which is required to manage the project information in order to determine the
organizational environment and the power structure. Along with that it involves the belief and
the values of the individual person. Basically, the political awareness is the capability to evaluate
and understand the out of sight agendas and utilized the skills and knowledge for the personal as
well as professional advantages. In the modern era for the effective manger, it is important to
have the skill to reorganize the culture and the atmosphere of the organization. The skills of
political and cultural awareness give assistance to the project manager in making the important
decision quickly. The cultural awareness helps in resolving the issues, conflicts, and stress
within the organization. The political skills will allow the project manager to acquire the success
in the marketplace. As per the test of extraversion for the position of project manager I am

organization (Shepherd, 2019) . Due to that I can motivate workers of the organization to
accomplish the personal as well as professional. Moreover, the employees of the organization
can deal with the problems and the obstacle.
Negotiation : it is the skill due to which the individual person can accomplish the personal as
well as professional goal in appropriate manner. The negotiation skill is the one which the
project manager utilized in day-to-day life in order to meet the aim and objectives. As per the test
conducted and evaluated that the effective project manager of the organization needs to acquire
and secure the resources for the company in order to deal with the forthcoming challenges. With
the assistance of the negotiation skill the individual person can build great business relationship
with stakeholders, customers in order to bring the positive work atmosphere. Along with those
skills the individual person can reduce the chances of risk and also resolve the conflicts in order
to achieve the objective in successive manner. Moreover, the project manager can deliver the
effective values at the workplace (e De Rezende & Blackwell, 2019.) . Due to these skills the
individual person can identify and define the problems and provide the solution in quick and
adequate manner. The negation skills considered under the negotiation job role and
responsibility of the project manager.
According to my personal introversion analysis my negotiation skills is not good which need to
improve for the forthcoming challenges. With the assistance of the negotiation skill, I can
enhance my confidence and resolve the problems within the organization but furthermore it is
supposed to improve in adequate manner. Basically, the negotiation skills involve the
communication skills of the individual person. Due to negotiation skills, I can communicate with
the other members of the organization and engage myself in the civil discussion. In the
negotiation skill emotions play crucial role in the negotiation. As the negotiation skills involve
the emotional intelligence, I can determine the emotions of the workers, stakeholder, and
consumer in order to bring the positive changes (Matturro, and et.al., 2019.). Due to which I
determine the experiences of the workers and manage them in adequate manner for the welfare
of the company. The skills' assistance in planning the essential tasks for the worker which
supposed to consider for the success of the organization. For organizing the plans of action in the

view the trust building skills help me to enhance the learning and developing the knowledge for

organization because the manager hesitates in delivering the responsibility. Basically, the lack of

2015) . With the assistance of the trust, I encourage the workers and provide them satisfaction.

as efficient manner. Conflict in the project management is the most unavoidable activity that is

management skills. Basically, the conflicts rise between the multiple stakeholders regarding the

stress of the people and increase the brand value, reputation, revenue and production in the
marketplace. It will affect the team and ability of the individual person as well as increase the
employability at workplace. Moreover, the conflict management skill is the most effective skill
for the project manager due to which the manager is able to maintain the culture or the positive
environment within the organization. Along with that it improves the quality and standard of the
employees, employers, and manager (Reddy & Gupta, 2020) .
Coaching: Coaching skill is the most essential skills for the cooperative organization and the
leader or the manager. With the assistance of the coaching skills the individual person is able to
improve the quality of work. Due to the coaching skill the individual person is able to enhance

improves the learning, skills and knowledge of the teamwork and bring the positivity.

organization. Due to that the manger is able to maintain the standard of the organization and
