1. Project Management Methodology Definitions
1 It can be termed as a set of some activities and steps that are to be followed in a
proper way so that the follower gets benefited by following them (Aston, 2017).
2 It is the process which is required to be selected very cautiously and once selected
correctly the whole risk of the project can be reduced without any effort being made.
3 The practice which have been derived from all past lessons learned and derived to
have certain sequence to complete the project quickly.
4 It is a rule which works in a disciplined way to reduce the overall risk and complete the
project quick.
2. Role of Project Management Methodology in Project Management
1 o If selected properly, then it can get success in reducing the present risks
(Bogue, 2005).
2 o By adopting, the stakeholders of the project will able to increase their product
quality.
3 o It will define stakeholder’s Roles and responsibilities from the beginning of the
project.
4 o The conflict or the other problems will be reduced in the project because they
will be able to do the communication work in a proper way (Stevens, 2014)
5 o This will reduce the workload on the stakeholders by defining them well.
6 o It can provide plan by following which the stakeholders of the project get to
know about their action plans.
7 o It helps the project team members to identify the risks since beginning.
8 o It can help in making the job standard and the management work will become

During the waterfall methodology, all the above-mentioned activities are done in a
systematic manner and once the planning of the project is done in the project in a proper way
by the organization the execution process of the project that started (Gordiyenko, 2014). There
are many six stages in case of the waterfall methodology of project management where the
requirement identification, requirement analysis, designing and constructing, testing, and after
