In the above diagram, red line indicates the critical path of the project, this series of activities
showing through red line is the minimum duration taken by the project to finish. There was no
successor activity available after M task, thus a dummy activity with duration 4 weeks have been
taken to balance the activities. The minimum taken by the project is 44 weeks. Thus, this
particular project is not subject to any penalty or additional incentive, as doesn’t exceed 47
weeks nor it meet 40 weeks duration.
