Introduction
The project plan is based on fitout of a medium-rise office building in Sydney suburb.
The previous project manager of this project plan was Tony Faultier who left the company
abruptly and is moving overseas. Therefore, a new project manager is assigned for the project
who communicated with the stakeholders to know about the project progress and its current
status. The total fitout budget is $1.2M and it is estimated that the entire project of fitout will be
completed within the duration of 4 months. The success of this fitout project needs to be
determined by the management by utilizing three components which includes design, budget as
well as time.
The paper mainly elaborates current status of the project which including both Cost
variance and Schedule variance. It is identified that the paper also highlights the importance of
leadership behavior in the project. Additionally, an overview about the existing team
environment with proper recommendations for changes within work processes as well as policies
for establishing proper cooperative environment is elaborated.

know about the risks that are associated with the project. It is identified that due to proper
understanding of the project they can easily implement proper steps as well as strategies for
resolving project issues and challenges.
Limitations of the project: The project limitations must be known to the new project
managers so that while implementing project strategies for success they should avoid steps that
will obstruct the success of the project. Proper information about limitations allows them to
develop project in such a way that the project will become successful.
Information about project goal: Proper information about the project goal is necessary
for the new project managers as depending on the project goals they can progress with the
project. It is quite important to complete the project as per its goals and objectives.
3.0 Overview of leadership behavior on the project
As per the organizational zoo model, it is identified that Tony Faultier is a poor leader.
According to the model, a real leader is a person who has number of willing followers who
generally want to help them as they are generally get inspired by them and respect them as a
person. However, it is analyzed that Tony faultier is a very much belligerent and he is a person
whom the team members see as a person who is very much lazy impatient as well as intolerant to

others. He was very much autocratic and was always unwilling to listen about the advice of the
team members. Further, the model elaborates that for becoming a leader, it is necessary to have
proper performance so that the stewardship as well as demonstrated actions generally serve
others effectively. However, it is identified that Tony did not perform effectively for managing
the issues that generally occurs within the project. In addition to this Tony faultier also does not
arrange proper training method for the staffs of the organization.
It is identified that the company must prefer proper leadership behavior for the
recruitment of the project manager and the recommendations for the targeted behavior include:
Demonstration of drive for results: The project managers must have effective
leadership characteristic that generally insists them to achieve proper project results.
Demanding truth: It is very much necessary for the project managers to know the real
issue or risk that is mainly associated with the project in order to make proper project related
decisions. It is identified that effective project managers requires demanding for the truth from
the project team members so that they can able to minimize issues. It is analyzed that hiding or
ignoring issues by the project manager will obstruct the success of the project.
Demonstrating courage: The project managers must have courage to communicate
properly with the team members so that the project can perform well with the support of the
project team members.

It is identified that existing team environment of the company is not proper as the team
