AI Summary
This project plan outlines the development of an information system for Legal Documents Online (LDO), an Australian organization. The plan, following the PRINCE2 methodology, details the project's objectives, which include creating a one-stop shop for clients, improving market competitiveness, and integrating business functions. It defines the project's scope, work breakdown structure, task table, and network diagram. The plan also identifies key stakeholders, outlines the proposed solution, and assesses potential risks. The project incorporates Rapid Application Development (RAD) for quicker deliveries, and includes delivery and release planning, along with project control mechanisms to ensure quality and adherence to schedule and budget. The plan also includes a cost analysis and references.

LDO Information System
1. Business driver
The project is being carried out for Legal Documents Online (LDO). It is an Australian
organization that sells the company details, individual information, and properties to the legal
entities. There are varied sets of information that are shared by the organization, such as
company details, property title certificates, rates certificates, transport interest certificate,
contaminated land certificate, and property descriptions.
There are several problems that are currently associated with the company business processes
and functions. These are varied and distributed which lacks integration and cohesion among
the modules. There are issues of data duplication or loss, lack of integrity, and slower
processing that can be determined (Pai, 2010).
The information system that is proposed for the organization will be a one-stop shop for
LDO. It will allow the automated mechanisms and modules for information retrieval by the
clients through order placements, information sharing by delivery, payment gateways for
payment on the orders, search functions, and a lot more.
In the case of the absence of such a system, the problems will continue to exist and might
grow with the expansion of the business. These problems may have an impact on the business
execution and integrity.
2. Project objectives
The business objectives of the project are listed below:
ï‚· One-stop shop for LDO to provide the ease or order placement and tracking to the
clients leading to increase in the number of orders by at least 45%.
ï‚· The project aims to provide LDO with competitive edge in the market by enhancing
its overall shared by 30% after eight months of the implementation of the system.
ï‚· The project aims to keep the system scalable so that the new modules and functions
may be added to the system as per the requirement.
ï‚· The objective of the project is to integrate the different business functions of the
organization so that the overall system efficiency is improved.

ï‚· The project objective is to have zero variance with the cost and schedule estimates
that are made for the project.
3. Business benefits
There will be a number of business benefits that LDO will experience with the
implementation of the information system.
ï‚· The information system will be designed in such a manner that the clients get to carry
out all of the processes and activities from a single location. One-stop shop for LDO
to provide the ease or order placement and tracking to the clients leading to increase
in the number of orders by at least 45%.
ï‚· The project aims to provide LDO with competitive edge in the market by enhancing
its overall shared by 30% after eight months of the implementation of the system. The
overall business value and the reputation of the organization in the market will also
improve as a result.
ï‚· The customer satisfaction levels will improve by 52% as the automated processes will
provide better speed and accuracy (Xavier & Piurcosky, 2019).

5. Justify the chosen methodology
The methodology selected for the management of LDO information system project is
PRINCE2 methodology. This is the most appropriate methodology for this case as the
detailed guidelines will be available with the project leader and the management to carry out
the project accurately. The project will be done in a series of seven stages and each stage will
ensure that the project progress is done as per the defined objectives and plan (Vanickova,
2017).
The methodology for the development of the project will be Rapid Application Development
(RAD). This will provide ad-hoc development mechanisms so that the quick deliveries are
made. It will also be in line with the PRINCE2 methods and will involve continual control
and direction along with the collaboration of the LDO representatives for analysis and
feedback.
The scalable solution will be presented as per the decided project objectives.
6. Key stakeholders
There will be internal and external stakeholders involved in the project as Project Sponsor
(LDO), Supplier groups, end users that will be the employees of LDO, project leaders, and
the team. The distribution of the project resources and the stakeholders in terms of the
activities in which they will be involved in and the number of hours for engaged are included
below.
