procurement method contains such four stages including material collection as well as
descriptive analysis or selection of category and also material evaluation (Lloyd-Walker and
Walker 2015). These four stages have a huge significance in the project procurement process.
To conduct the first phase of material collection, it requires to search the effective papers for
suppliers’ selection by using the correct effective practical related keywords. After gathering
a number of papers, it must select the correct papers by filtering the relevancy with projects.
The analysis of the papers are categorised into a variety of factors such as title analysis as
well as abstract analysis and also text analysis. Conducting by these factors, it sorts the
relevancy papers of selective suppliers for achieving best project performance.
After finishing the descriptive analysis, it originates the third phase that means
category selection. Stating in this context, the descriptive analysis is classified into two stages
like procurement process stages and also project type. The suppliers’ selection depends on the

procurement phases and also project types. However, each different project including
construction project, energy project as well as highway project, hydro projects and others
requires different type of suppliers.
The accuracy as well as effectiveness of suppliers’ selection helps to enhance the
efficiency of project performance. The last phase that means the material evaluation phase
employs a number of factors including criteria for selection of suppliers as well as suppliers’
evaluation and also their involved methods. For selecting as well as measuring the
performance evaluation of suppliers, the number of criteria are quality, price, financial as
well as experience and also time. To select the appropriate suppliers for various projects,

outcomes. To select the appropriate suppliers, it requires to establish the criteria relating with

suppliers. In addition to this, it requires to provide details of the products, quantities as well
as delivery dates in order to understand the ability of suppliers (Allen et al. 2015). After
selecting the suppliers, it needs to track their performance in order to identify the faults so
that it can overcome during the running period of projects. If the suppliers perform
successfully within the project period, it can improve the productivity of the projects which is
connected to produce quality based goods or services.
