1. Development of a set of relevant and achievable goals
This project depicts the details role of project management prcatices in the business
organization. The case scenario chosen for this specific project is Royale Pizza, established in the
year of 2007. The company is 20 years more experienced however these days due to strong
competition level the company is facing major delivery challenges due to numbers of new
similar pizza delivery companies. The set of achievable project goals estimated for this specific
project are as follows:
The goal of Royale Pizza is to renovate their current store (with flooring, air conditioner
instalment, painting that is dust free, exhaust system and compressor capacities) within an
estimated of AU$40,000 and in the allotted time phase of 4 months. In addition to this
another goal of Royale Pizza is to obtain an economical profitability of 25%.
The other goal of the company is to install some equipment including 3 numbers of deep
fryers, point of sales system, 2 boilers and1 dough roller.
The company operates both online and offline services to their consumers. In order to
deliver timely and quality food products to their consumers they should install needful and
supporting hardware and software. Respective software licences are also required to deliver
an error free service to their consumers.
In addition to this, shop supervisor, compliance safety certification bodies and technical
bodies are required to be consulted to implement the project within time and budget

2. A brief scope statement for the Case Study project
The scope of the project is to renovate the current store of Royale Pizza within an
estimated budget of AU$40,000 in 4 months. The project delivery phases must be followed
accordingly to avoid the challenges of overrunning cost and over allocation of budget. If the
project is not accomplished within time and budget or else, if it is found to be delay then
AU$300 will be penalized by the contractors. Apart from this a safety measure is also required
to be applied and considered by the project managers during the design and development of the
project to ensure its success. The scope of the company is to obtain a commercial profitability of
25%.
In order to reduce the workload from the associated project team members this large
project will be divided into small phases in terms of project design phase, project procurement ad
delivery phase, construction phase and installation and painting phase. The net duration planed
for the construction and interior of Pizza Store for Royale Pizza is 4 months. As per the division
it is determined that, in order to complete the design phase 1 month is required. Apart from that,
for the procurement, delivery method, construction and installation and planning phase a total
time of 2 months, 1 month and 2 months respectively will be needed by the project manager.
Project scope statement is comprises of two phases in terms of requirement gathering and
project scope defining y collecting needful information. The project scope needs to cover all the
elements that may satisfy the consumers. It is determined that project scope statement is referred
to as one of the most challenging task among the different project management activities.

Defining and managing professional project scope statement will help the project manager to
meet the preliminary project goals and objectives.
In order to successfully accomplish the project scope management plan the methods those
are needed to be followed by the project manager and project team members of Royale Pizza are
as follows:
Facilitating workshop: Royale Pizza requires focusing on stakeholder management plan
so that it can bring the key cross functions of the stakeholders together to define the requirements
of the products.
Focus group: This is an elicitation tool rather technique that helps to bring the
preliminarily qualified stakeholders and the subject matter experts all together in the similar
project boundary line. It will collectively help the project manager and the project team
members to meet the expectation of the project. In other words, all products, services and results
will all be delivered by the project team members while required.
Group creativity technique: Royale Pizza requires following certain techniques in terms
of brainstorming, mind mapping, affinity diagram, decision analysis etc. Rather it can be said
that this scope management technique would help to define the project scope and gather all
requirements.
Group decision making technique: Unanimity, plurality, dictatorship etc are referred to
as the approach that helps the organization to take effective decision making.
Expert’s judgement: Based on construction expertise, civil direction and interior
requirements the project manager and technical experts are required to take effective judgement

Document analysis: Document analysis is referred to as another important method that
has to be followed by the contractors to store collect and analyse the information those have been
gathered before initiating the project. The document will demonstrate the numbers of equipments
requited along with the need for portable chairs and tables.
Context diagram: Presentation of a prototype based on the context diagram helps the
project manager to visualize the current architecture or interior of Royale Pizza store. The
context diagram designed for the project must contain the expected interior of dining space.
3. Project delivery life cycle methodologies
3.1 Delivery lifecycle stages
The project lifecycle stages that will be followed by the assigned project manager of
Royale Pizza are as follows:
Design phase: Design phase is the very initial phase for this project. In this phase, the
contractor needs to design the outline of the project considering the renovation equipments and
elements. Mainly in this phase, in order to deliver a much easier architecture the interior design
and the civil engineers are required to develop a 3D model of the dinning space.
Procurement and delivery phase: The design and delivery phase f the project is
comprises of all those activities that are to be successfully delivered by the project managers

within the timeline of 4 months and in the budget of $400. The detail delivery approaches those
should be involved in this project include- buying some new equipments, flooring plan etc.
Construction: In this phase whatever plan has been implemented requires to be

Installation and painting: In this phase needful equipments will be installed in terms of
air conditioner system installation, dust free painting, compressor capacity increment and
installation of exhaust system etc.
Each of these phases are to be followed by the project manager and project team
members to deliver the project within tie and budget.
3.2 Methods and Processes used to monitor and control the project progress
The different methods requites to be followed to monitor and control the project status
are-earned value analysis, project status reporting, risk assessment plan and change control
approach.
On the other hand, the processes involved to monitor and control the project include:
