Project management plays an important role for making an event successful through
arranging all resources and dividing each activity in effective manner. Prince2, Scrum etc. are
some project methodology which aids to enhance productivity of event. Network diagram is also
included in this report which inter-relate each activity and decide to complete those which are at
priority. Further, it is also recommend that event team should include stakeholders to analyse

INTRODUCTION
The term project management refers to formulate and manage different projects that are
completed to gain effective and desired outcomes by completing them in decided time period.
Management of resources, time allocation of activities, collect of right information etc. are key
aspects for project management that leads to accomplish better results and it is useful for
completing all activities in an organised manner. Moreover it is complex to manage task and
objectives of projects as it required certain skill for handling projects in effective manner (Pinto,
2013). Moreover, this report highlights on project that is undertaken by team of college for
organise music festival. Team members require to make several arrangement that start with
arrangement of funds, planning of fests and arrange them as per their time start and end period.
In last, report and project is develop for align of different activities that is managed in festivals.
TASK 1
Project method methodology
Waterfall- This refers to an effective technique which includes different perspective such as
to divide project into different aspects in downward form, in this each phase is completed to
move it towards next one. Along with this waterfall method is used to save cost and time for
project.
Advantages- With implement of waterfall method it is analysed management or team members
are able to provide right guidance and communication system for providing right guidance to all
individuals.
Dis-advantage- The complex rigid structure are developed by management that generates
complexity for making changes in organisational work.
Prince2- With this method of project management all methods are used for deliver all size
and complexity of project. Along with this major aim for this relates with dividing projects into
manageable ways and controllable stages (Kerzner, 2017). Prince2 method is most useful and
common among all platforms and countries because training is available for all aspects.
Advantage- This method completes its work by developing own framework due to which
completion of project is complex work but this methods product quality is managed by
organisation in effective manner.

Dis-advantage- Prince2 is not beneficial for completing small projects as there are regular
modifications required in events.
Scrum- This refers to another method by which all phase of project are managed by
dividing objectives into smaller components and segments. Along with this various batch are
also generated that is created as per basis of feedback and help to minimise risk aspect. The main
objective for scrum is to satisfy needs and wants of customers in proper manner by dividing and
cutting cost to gain quick and positive results from operations (Mir and Pinnington, 2014).
Advantage- The method of scrum refers to complete all task and objectives in minimum time
period and it also beneficial for enhancing morale of employees through offering them profits.
Dis-advantage- Scrum method is only implemented by management with involve of
professional individuals that helps to consume specialized skills under project aspects. It also
increase time period for completing activities.

Network diagram
Network diagram is used by management for completing the project with in a graphical
manner. In this all activities are graphed within systematic manner that is used to complete
project. Moreover, all activities are inter-linked through arrows and nodes that demonstrate
which resources and activities are required after completion of preceding phase. Network
diagram demonstrate that time taken by each activity so it is easy for manager to calculate
overall time for completion of project. Thus, it is easy to find short and effective path to finish
project task (Meredith, Mantel and Shafer, 2017).

Stakeholder play an important role for each organisation and it leads management to
perform its functions and operations with in organised manner. Customers, employees, supplier,
investor and director are some key persons who perform the key role of stakeholder for a
business. Along with this each stakeholder directly or indirectly impact on operations and
working of business. In context of music festival some stakeholders are as follow:
ï‚· Collage authority- It is an internal stakeholder analysis They are first department who
are responsible for performing all work and operations within collage premises
(Andersson, Getz and Mykletun, 2014). All rules, regulation and strategy are decided by
authority for making an event successful.
ï‚· Students and participants- Students who are pursuing their studies within college also
play an important role as their discipline and participants make an event more successful.
ï‚· Teachers- This individuals provide and share their knowledge with individuals for make
them capable to utilise skills and knowledge in proper manner. In context of music

and they are responsible for formulating budget and providing funds to management.

holder who manage the projects.

2017). This project is divide among different activities to organise all of them in proper manner.

students lead management to organise those activities which are entertaining and also enhance
knowledge of individuals such as to analyse scope in music industry. Along with these
stakeholders has their own responsibility and role in making an event more successful.

mention as follow:

exercises which are occurring into the task. These individuals additionally are especially
intrigued by the work or occasions which are occurring in the performances. In this class, school

ability to take any choice or to run any extend. They are keen on each movement or occasion
which has sorted out into the school.
