INTRODUCTION
Project risk management is a process in which project managers plays a important role to
analysing, identifying and minimize any potential risk that may directly impact a project's
functioning. In this process project managers calculate risk that might occurs in the project and
analysis how to fix that issue if it occurs. It may affects project's processes, resources and its
technology. Because of this project risk management is very essential. The barking and
Dagenham, Harvering and Redbridge (BHR) System Resilience Group is emergency care
network and includes clinical commissioning group, acute hospital trust, GP federations and the
community and mental health services provider and local council across the three London
boroughs. This group seeks to simplify their process by implementing online digital platform. In
this platform they want to include 'click' to book urgent appointments, 'call' for fast service and
'come in' for patients emergency situation. This report will also include the scope and drivers of
implemented project and project life cycle and also project methodologies that will enhance the
project growth. This report will also state that the budget and period for the installation, training,
development and maintenance for the online digital platforms. This report will also highlight the
risks that are involved in the online digital platform installation, training, development and
maintenance and risk management strategies to minimize these risks. And also includes the
power and interest of key stakeholders in the project and their efforts in making the risk- free
project.
TASK 1
There is high level of the explosive growth of software development in the healthcare
industries. There is the important role of the software technologies in the decision-making of
healthcare practices. On the today's world, the healthcare industry has been using the computers
and related software in more sophisticated ways. As, nowadays the patients and doctors can log
into Web-based information portals to coordinate treatment plans and schedule appointments.
Patients are also increasingly using mobile and wearable devices to stay on regular dosage
schedules and monitor vital information such as heart rate and blood pressure. The scope for the
development of such platform would help as the bridge between the doctor and the monitoring
patients. The scope of development of such software termed as Vanguard by the Barking and
Dagenham, Havering and Red bridge (BHR) System Resilience Group

(SRG) has the wide scope as it will help in having the better health system along with health
plans and the track by doctor over their patients.
The software will ale help the patients to have the monitoring over their own health and
be more informed and engaged and be area of any changes. The scope of the software app is to
have the understanding a development of education among the patients with the engagement in
social networks . The app will also have the contribution to relatives to have the monitoring f
their family members health on regular basis. The platform bridges the gap between doctors and
family caregivers and builds relationships of trust between doctors and patients. Barking and
Dagenham, Havering and Red bridge (BHR) System Resilience Group
(SRG) have the target market which is eventually global, so they must have the need for more
robust, reliable electronic platform whose architecture and software will allow the signification
level of scaling and measurement in the future.
There should be the development of the various component of the application such as the admin
panel, char app , notification service along with API that have the connection between front
head and back end parts along with front end app. Computers in healthcare are used to establish
the connection of patients with doctors and to make the job of doctors and nurses more
efficient. Programmers are needed to have the write up about the software for medical equipment
and for hospital administration. People with computer science skills are needed to analyse
clinical data and manage healthcare IT departments. The field of healthcare informatics is
growing rapidly, and employment is expected to increase twice as fast in this industry as in other
occupations.

Project life cycle:
Project life cycle is a systematic procedure followed in the development of the software in IT
sector. It comprises of detailed plan to be followed while development of the software. It consists
of following ways to describing developing, maintaining, replacing and altering or upgrading of
a software. this methodology is developed to either improve the quality of software or the overall
development of the software. Following steps are followed:
Planning:
Analysis of data is carried out in the process of planning which can be done with the aim of
development identifying the key objectives which can be considered. It is done by sales expert,

head developer and surveyer which defines the goal and need of development of the software. A
layout is prepared and the approaches are checked before the development of the project. The
quality and need of the resource are all consider in the planning stage. System resilience group
aims to develop this software to keep a track of emergence care network which binds various
groups which can help at the time of emergency.
Defining:
After analysing the data a structural layout is designed which can help in the development of
software needed in this a resource location step is carried out by the system resilience group
which helps in the layout generation and the measures that are to be carried out which are taken
to developing of a software.
Designing:
Designing approach is carried out which helps in designing of the software which are needed,
more than one approach is carried out in the development and the best suited method is
considered. it defines the data module and along with its communication channel which helps
'system resilience group' in defining the right method in developing and to meet the requirements
of the customer.
Building:
Building of a software is carried out it is done on the various platform, selection of right platform
is carried out as different languages are used like C, C++, JAVA, Python, Android etc. which can
be used in the building a project. Designing of the software is carried out in this process. This
works on 2 medium: forehand and backhand. Forehand is the designing or graphical layout of the
software, whereas backhand consist of the designing of layout and various interpreted data.
Testing:
testing is carried out to eliminate various errors which can arouse in the development of
software. Testing is carried out to ensure that all the functions are carried out easily. It ensures
that all the functions are carried out easily. Testing is done to check weather everything is
appropriate as per the demands of client. If not then it is sent back to building department.
Deployment:
It refers that the project is ready and can be delivered to the client and used in the marketplace. It
consider the salient working of the software. It can be first used with the limited segment of
people and can be used with a range of people.

For the development of the software development of such software termed as Vanguard
by the Barking and Dagenham, Havering and Red bridge (BHR) System Resilience Group
(SRG) , the waterfall project methodology which will be used Waterfall Model. Waterfall
Model is a sequential model that divides software development into different phases. Each phase
is designed for performing specific activity during SDLC phase. It was introduced in 1970 by
Winston Royce. It is the first process model that has been introduced also termed as the linear
sequential life cycle model. The feature of the model is that the there should be the completion of
previous stage before the next phase can begin and there is no overlapping in the phases. The
waterfall Model have the illustration of the software development process in linear sequential
flow. This makes understanding that any phase in the development process begins only if the
previous phase is complete. In this waterfall model, the phases do not overlap.
There are the various stage that through which there will be the implementation or the changes
in the software development process.
Requirement gathering and analysis- there should be the development of the all the possible
requirement that are need to developed and capture ans documented in the requirement
specification document.
System design.-The requirement specifications from first phase are studied in this phase and the
system design is prepared. This system design helps in specifying hardware and system
requirements and helps in defining the overall system architecture.
Implementation- With inputs from the system design, there should be the development small
programs called units, which are integrated to the next phase. Each unit is developed and tested
for its functionality, which is referred to as Unit Testing.
Integration and system testing – there will be the development and implementation of all the
units that are being developed integrated into a system after testing of each unit. Post integration
the entire system is tested for any faults and failures.
Deployment of system- Once the functional and non-functional testing is done; the product is
deployed in the customer environment or released into the market.
Maintenance -There are some issues which come up in the client environment. To fix those
issues, patches are released. Also to enhance the product some better versions are released.
Maintenance is done to deliver these changes in the customer environment.

Stages of Risk assessment and risk management strategies-
Online digital platform creates the digital risk that may generate from digital business
process. From the above case of study barking and dagenham, havering and redbridge system
resilience group wants to install online digital platform at their work. Many risks generates in the
digital platform development, installation, maintenance and training-
Online digital platform may generates various risks in emergency care network. Digital
health care companies has faces many risks (Masuda and et.al., 2019). It can create patient injury
by technology failure, human error or hacking. Installation of digital platform should be very
carefully. It takes large time and its implements are very sensitive. Its maintenance process is
also very costly. Implementation of digital platform in healthcare company generates training
related risks. It is very complex to operate and needs effective training programme to understand
the operating process (de Reuver, Sørensen and Basole 2018). Most of the patients are not

updated with the new-new technologies in the market, thats why they want systematic training
about digital platform.
In case of emergency patients have no time to understand this lengthy digital process
because its little tricky, which could adverse affect to client. It many also generates privacy and
cyber security risk. In various circumstances the technologies of digital platform doesn't work
properly and that one is a major barrier for a patient. Up-gradation process of digital platform is
more complex buy its very essential for provides facilities to needy in a very effective and
efficient way. Online digital platform are very critical to sustain in the emergency care network.
Sometimes it may create technology failure and even the loss of human being. In various
situation digital platform fails to establish trust of patients.
For the assessment of risk, there are several stages-
First is, identify and analysis the risk and hazard, in this stage healthcare company should have
to analysis the risk and their factors.
Second is, evaluate the risk, in this stage healthcare company should have to evaluate the effects
of risk and its impacts on patients (Masuda and et.al., 2019). Company should also evaluate how
much adverse effects will generate from risk.
Third is, treat the risk, in this company makes plan about risk treatment and take necessary steps
to risk reductions.
Forth is, monitor and review the risk, in this step healthcare group should monitor the generated
results. And also focus on to maintain the risk level low and review it.
In the risk management strategies The barking and Dagenham, Harvering and Redbridge (BHR)
System Resilience Group (a healthcare company) should have also approach the best healthcare
risk management software, this will provides major system to protect against risk and comliance
problems. Best healthcare risk management system should be detecting, preventing concerns,
evolving and monitoring in nature. Healthcare company require a healthcare specific risk
management system to avoid clinical, financial and administrative losses. Because this solution\
system keep patients security at the critical point.
Risk mitigation also includes the risk analysis and risk identification process. Risk
mitigation includes the process of reduction of risk that will occurs from digital platform. Risk
mitigation includes the planning of how healthcare company could provide risk-free services to
their patients (de Reuver, Sørensen and Basole 2018).

Key stakeholders and their power or interest in the project (Mendelow Matrix)
Mendelow Matrix is a famous method to consider the attitude of stakeholders in the
project. Key stakeholder may be an individual or an organisation. Stakeholders has an interest in
the actions or finctions of a business. They can influence this actions or they are affected by it. In
The barking and Dagenham, Harvering and Redbridge (BHR) System Resilience Group (a
healthcare company) have many key stakeholders including employees, customers, directors and
the community.
Mendelow matrix is a major tool to analyse and identify key stakeholders and their
interest. This method will also consider the level of interest of a stakeholder in the organisation's
project and its strategies. 'The level of interest' will generally determine as how likely a
stakeholder will take action to perform his power. Many factors may be described that the
stakeholders interest- lack of alternative, large social impact of firm, big career investment in
business's activities.
Stakeholder have various powers in the project- key stakeholder can take legal actions
against the unethical activities on digital platform, they can also create legal proceeding towards
them. Stakeholder have to give resignation in any time from their services. Stakeholders also
have the power to cancelling the orders that are associated with digital platform. In the healthcare
organisation, stakeholder take initiative actions to implementation of online digital platform.
They can also grant contracts which are positively affects the processing of digital platform.
In conclusively we can defined that if-
stakeholders have low power and low interest (minimal efforts) than they are fully influence
by the others. They accepts what others are told and open to follow instructions of others. This
group of stakeholders have less interest in what's activity is happening and also have lack of
power to influence activities.
Stakeholders have low power and high interest (keep informed) in that situation stakeholders
are highly interested in business strategies but has no power to do anything. This group should
attempt to gain power to join with a group with power. This group has high interest in all
activities, that's why they have no power to alter changes. This group of stakeholders should be
kept informed.
Stakeholders have high power and high interest (actively engage and manage closely) this
group of stakeholders will be recognized as a key player of a business and healthcare company
7

will require to effectively engaghe this group. This group of stakeholders may creates many
changes and produce strategies in an organisation. They will have a ability to effectively
influence the project activities. They also have a power to stop the change or modify the strategy
if they are not perfectly satisfied.
Stakeholders have high power and low interest (keep satisfied) this group of stakeholders
potentially approach the 'high power and high interest group' of stakeholders because they are
very close to that situation. It is very necessary that this group kept satisfied by this activity they
are less likely to capture interest and effectively use their power to influence others group.
TASK 3
Project and team structure along with minimizing the conflicts among stakeholders
SRG, BHR and the CCG group must focus on management of the team and also
structuring of team in which the group must follow the reports of the best health care service
which is successful in its operation and giving productive results to its customers.
There are various types of projects which requires special team and the team must be
proficient in dealing with the specific problem:
Emergency project
In such type of project special team is required which are ready to deal with any situation
and also ready to deal with the situation irrespective of the time. The team of professional
doctors plays a dominant role in it, in which first the patient is analysed about what is the issue
and then sent to the specialist which can be ornithologist, cardiologist, Dermetologist or any
specialist.
Service project
This is the project in which special team is appointed in order to serve the patience
carefully by satisfying them. The service team first determine what are the causes of the dieases
or accident and how the same can be corrected using appropriate treatment or medicine. There is
a proper channel which starts from appointment and ends with the end results fo the patient and
the same must be followed by the CCG, BHR and SRG groups.
Renovation project
As per this project it is very much necessary that the hospitals must be made clean and
also renovated timely in order to prevent the patients from any disease and any serious injury.
There are various harmful diseases which are present in the hospital itself due to which the new

patients are affected. In order to prevent the hospital from such situation it is must to have
change in furniture and equipment. Here also special team is appointed which checks regularly
what is good and what needs to be changed.
Project initiation and team selection
Once the team is selected then project is initiated by the team in which the selection of
the team is done on the basis of the specialization of the employees. The initiation of the project
is done by doing proper planning of the project which is implement in the project and thereafter
if there is any loophole or deviation the same is reflected in the project. On the basis of the
project type the team is selected on the basis of standard team structure which follows the
hierarchy which is mentioned as under the diagram.
As per the diagram which is of SRG, BHR and CCG group it is clear about the structure
of the team in which the top person is the team leader. The other departments are the Safety and
the sub departments are the operations, Planning, Logistic and Finance. This is the structure of a
team in which the reporting authority is the Team leader. The group follows the bottom up
hierarchy in which the operation department reports to the planning department, the planning
department reports to the logistic and at last the logistic department reports to the Finance
department. The other department is the Safety department which ultimately reports to the Team
leader.
Roles as well responsibilities.
Each team member has its own roles and responsibilities which the same has to follow. It
also depends upon the team for example if the team is of finance then roles as well
responsibilities of the team will be financial planning, financial management and budgeting and
controlling of the SRG group. For example if the team is of safety then the responsibilities will
9

Document Page
be management of the safety equipments, placing of the safety equipment at right place and
checking the equipments are in working conditions or not.
Minimizing conflicts.
It is must for the SRG, BHR and CCG group to minimize the conflict among the
employees in the team which will help the members of the team effectively completed the
project on time and with achieving the aim of the team. The best suited theory which can be
useful for the team is the Thomas Kilmann Theory which takes into account several strategies
such as avoiding, defeating, collaboration and compensation.
As per Thomas all these strategies are must to be followed in order to reduce the conflict
among the employees. As per Kilmann avoidance is necessary to say no to the big issue out of
small issue. Defeating is necessary in order to make clear who is wrong and who is right which
will help in resolving issues by finding out ways how can one correct the problem.
Collaboration is also necessary for resolving issue in which if any issue arises then the same is
corrected using collaboration technique in which the team used to collaborate in order to find out
better solution and the same is implemented in the organization in order to achieve better results.
Compensation is another factor which will help the group in order to retain the talent as well as
employee in the organisation.
Apart from this theory there are also other factors such as:
Effective communication
It is the most prominent tool using which the company can avoid any conflict because if
the employees are clear about what they are required to do and also clear about the deadline then
there are minimal chances of conflicts.
Team working
Team working is also another factor which motivates the employees to joyfully work
under the team and which also helps in distributing the work which is in bulk. Team work helps
in coordination and cooperation among the employees and this helps in using of collective minds
which helps in better achievement of the goal of the group.
Active listening
Active listening is also important because without active listening the team members will
not understand what the leader is saying this will result in conflict among the members. Active
listening will lead to clearly understanding of message along with solution of the problem.
