11. Stakeholder management
According to Mok, Shen and Yang (2015) management of stakeholder is considered as
one of the critical components that is generally useful for the effective delivery of any of the
project or any type of activity. It is found that the stakeholders who are mainly linked with either
the power plant in Bangladesh or the Hinkley Point C in UK, it is quite necessary to manage
them effectively for achieving the results from both the project. It is identified that in Hinkley
Point C power Plant, stakeholders are considered as the group of people who are mainly
considered to be important and they generally include those individuals who generally have
proper interest in what we have and what impact that they reflect on the entire business (Jones et
al. 2017). On the other hand, the Rooppur Nuclear Power plant also utilizes different types of
techniques for managing their stakeholders who are involved with the power plant project for
achieving success. The steps or procedures that are used by both the power plant projects for
managing their stakeholders are reflected with the help of the steps that are elaborated below:
Creating organization breakdown structure: OBS is considered as one of the diagrams
that is created in the form of a structure which reflects the stakeholders and their level for
clarifying the roles and responsibilities of the stakeholders (Fassin et al. 2017).
Categorization of stakeholders: Stakeholders are generally categorized as per internal
as well as external stakeholders for identifying stakeholders who are working internally for the
project.
Understanding impact and power of the stakeholders: Both the power as well as
impact of the project stakeholders should be properly understood by the project stakeholders so
that they can accomplish their roles effectively (Mok, Shen and Yang 2015).

Communication plan: Effective plan for communication is generally required in order
to communicate successfully with the stakeholders for accomplishing the work effectively.

According to Ashraf and Islam (2018), Rooppur nuclear power plant is considered as
one of the under constructions 2.4 GWe nuclear power plant that is in Bangladesh. It is found
that the entire project is generally implemented with the help of the Bangladesh Atomic Energy
Commission under the proper guidance of the science as well as technology ministry. The main
aim of the entire project is to provide low cost electricity facility and to create new as well as
effective jobs for the people of Bangladesh. The power construction within Bangladesh generally
exceeds 4GW a year (Karim et al. 2018). It is found that the new plant will generally be helpful
in enhancing the power production that will further helpful in enabling the business in order to
achieve energy independence.
On the other hand, it is stated by Smyth, Lecoeuvre and Vaesken (2018) that Hinkley
Point C nuclear power plant is one of the projects that mainly aims to construct a 3200 MWe
nuclear power station within UK. The project mainly aims to build two new nuclear reactors
such that long term benefits from the nuclear power plant can generally be achieved that will
further be helpful in stimulating Somerset as well as South West (Zapletalova 2015). It is
analyzed that this particular power plant project in UK will generally be helpful in creating
around 25000 new employment opportunities. In addition to this, proper opportunities for the
national, local as well as international business are provided.
