The scope of a project is a part of the planning of project that includes deciding and
documenting a list of particular goals, deliverables, function and the features and also the cost
of the project. The alteration in the project is the creep of scope. Scope creep in project
management is the modifications in the project scope at any time in the project (Farok &
Garcia, 2016). This can happen when the scope of the project is not properly defined. The
changes in the project scope can affect schedule of the project as well as the accomplishment
of project. When the project scope is not appropriately defined, schedule cannot be done
properly as planning the scope falls in the planning stage. If the project planning is not done
appropriately then the project will not be accomplished properly. The deliverables of the
project cannot be described properly and the project will not be a success. The project will
cannot go into the next stage that is the implementation stage if the scope of the proejct is not
defined properly. Therefore, manager of project must define the scope properly so that the
scope creep does not occur in the project and the project is a success (Ajmal, Khan & Al-
Yafei, 2019). The manager of the project must verify the scope and the plan of the execution
of the project with all the stakeholders so that they know about the change in project scope.
The project manager must convey these to the stakeholders of the project so that they
know about the change in project scope. The project scope should use various types of
communications in order to communicate with the stakeholders and provide them
information about the scope creep and how it is adversely harming the project (Milani, 2019).
The manager of the project should call for a meeting with the stakeholders so that he can
make the stakeholders understand about the scope creep and the influence of scope creep on
the project. The manager of the project can communicate with each of the stakeholders and
convey the messages about the change in project scope and the influence of the change in

scope on the project. The stakeholders are very important in this project and the project
manager must maintain good relationships with the stakeholders by communicating each
details of the project with the stakeholders. The scope creep can be affect the successfulness
of the project and the stakeholders should know this and should tell the stakeholders to make
the scope fixed so that the project is successful (Amoatey & Anson, 2017). The project
manager must use various types of communication in order to make them aware of the
condition of the project and must plan the project properly with the help of the stakeholders
and make the project successful.
