Introduction
The following report is based on the case study of the St Dismas Medical centre
which wants to establish a rehabilitation of 450 beds. Because day by day, the number of the
inpatient as well as outpatients are increased (Golini, Kalchschmidt & Landoni, 2015). Due to
having proper facilities of the rehab centre, most of the patients are injured because of the
seat belts or bicycle or motorcycle related helmets. For that, the organization has been taken
an initiative to set the rehab centre for specially the inpatient people. In this following report,
it has to explain the process on which the project scope has been reflected on the project
schedule and also communication between the project manager with the other kinds of
project stakeholders.
Changes of project scope
According to the project management, the project scope defines as an essential section
within the principles of the project management. The project scope helps to understand the
deliverables of the project. The project scope defines what activities need to take for
accomplishing the project (Javed & Liu, 2017). The project scope delivers also the project
budget and also project timeline which needs to maintain for running the project within a
successful track. The project scope reflects on the project schedule if the changes exists in the
project scope or not. Initially it effects on the project schedule because the project scope may
be increased or decreased. If the growth of the project scope happens, it also increases the
project schedule because for this case, it requires the additional timeline and also budget for
fulfilling the project. On the other hand, if the project scope decreases, it also helps to
decrease the project schedule because for this case, the project schedule needs to decrease
along with their timeline and also budget. In this way, the project scope is related with the
project schedule. Apart from that, with the changes of the project scope, it also takes a little

time for the project stakeholders to understand the project scope. This scenario also create an
effect in the project scheduling.
Communication between project manager and stakeholders
Like project scope, the communication is also a significant section of the project
management. Moreover, it also can considered the project director is the important character
existing in project management. It should be a duty for the project manager to communicate
properly with the project stakeholders for running the project with a success (Špundak, 2014).
If any changes of project scope happens during the lifetime of project, the project manager
consumes the duty to inform this information to all the project stakeholders by the process of
communication. Therefore, in that case, it should be organized a meeting by the project
supervisor where all the stakeholders requires to be present (Zulch, 2014). For controlling the
budgeting section of the project, the project manager should arrange a meeting with the
finance manager to generate a proper schedule by which the project executes.
Conclusion
In the conclusion part, the communication as well as project scope both are the vital
parameters within the project management. Without these parameters, the project may face
such problems in their lifespan. Based on the discussion part, it has to assume the project
scope must reflect in the project schedule and for that the communication requires for
ensuring the project scope.
