Personal traits
It is found that there are a number of personal traits that must be present within the
effective project managers.
Positive attitude: Attitudes can be either categorized into positive or negative however

are quite high then the issues are very much unnerving and therefore the managers need
to provide proper impression that is required for the success of the team (Sohmen &

Honesty: Trust within the team members of the project is quite necessary and it is found
that trust is mainly built on the manager’s honesty. In addition to this, proper
communication skills are considered as good qualities for properly managing the project.
Organization: Keeping track on the deliverables, meetings as well as approval requests
are considered as one of the important parts for the manager of the project. An extremely
organized project manager can be able to handle the work effectively (Joslin & Muller,
2015).
Core competencies
The core competencies that is needed to be present within the manager in order to handle
the project effectively are listed below:
Strong leadership: Strong leadership helps in guiding the entire project in order to
