this art events project. Actually, this report is based on strategic self-reflection, which reveals
about the role and experience of effective team working for the preparation of this project. With
talking over events project, it completely based on promoting an environment sustainability
across the city of Metropolis to be submitted to leisure and culture committee. This strategic
project will identify them for the festival, planning appropriate events, managing relationships
with stakeholder, managing health and safety along with ensuring licensees should be obtain

MAIN BODY
Strategic self-reflection
The analysis of this project is based on strategic self-reflection, which is looking into
mirror and describing what you see. It is a clear way to assess self, what the person has done
along with what they studied. In simple words, it basically shows what person have learnt
through specific knowledge or practical practices. While, developing and planning this events
festival, my experience for team working is both based on positive and negative phases. Also,
my role has been disclosed about project manager, which reveals about the strategic management
of the project and team working both. As project manager, if in case ant shortcoming and failure
would disclose, it is my responsibility to bear it. As, I said, my experience was both positive and
negative and role in the group project is comprehensively challenging along with learning
aspects which I gained throughout this entire work. This role has taught me several knowledges,
skills, competencies, which I already have or I need to develop for my better performance.
My role of project manager is consists of various duties such as helping my team people
in an idea generation, brief research using resource tools, information gathering, setting out the
theme for this events project, resource allocations, managing the relationship with stakeholders
and also undertaking various legal requirements. As project manager, I co-ordinated my team in

every stage such as ensuring the licensees as well as developing the media & publicity for this
event festival. This project has been initiated with complete agenda of two way learning, which
reveals that both leader & team member are open to share any information or knowledge, in case
of shortcomings. My experience reveals that this way of working has made this project, proactive
success. Along with this, team has developed the project plan, which involves cost, time, place,
resource, policies & procedures etc. As project manager, there was several learnings over
ascertaining the costs and revenues, suitability for relocating the resources, time management
and people management. Along with this, result reaching was one of the difficult and critical
experience, on which my opinion is that, it has to be done with corrective steps and complete
analytical process, with right approach with actions plans to concluded the executive outcomes.
Also, my role was difficulties and critical to undertaken because of challenges and drawbacks,
which was identified in the introduction stage of this group project. Moderate informative
manpower, lack of analytical skills, behaviour & attitude, which was identified. For overcoming
this, I was decided to conduct the training & development session to understand the potential &
ability of each and every individual to allocate them task as according to their skills and
knowledge.
This has led to effective working the entire group project. Also, I had conducted
evaluation rounds in different stages to make team members realize about their actual
performance and also enhances it as per the critical requirements. For effective working, my role
has implemented democratic leadership style, where there will be no price to be paid for giving
suggestion, views or ideas or lies with the freedom to take up the individual decision making. Mt
I took democratic approach style for giving utmost freedom to team person to realize their own
behaviour, mistakes to learn further and goals accomplishment. Previously, I was decided to take
up the autocratic style, but after ascertain analysis over different projects, finally I decided to
drop this. I have mixed experiences such as conflicts with members on any part of the project on
the negative side and positive culture and environment. There are several barriers such as
insufficient cost, less time, communication issues, unskilled manpower etc. which are identified
during the implementation of the project. Also, these barriers have caused stoppage of work,
which could be loss for me. For this, several step are taken to overcome such as team decision
making, continuous evaluation of covered task in every stage along with asking every team

person advice and suggestion. In response, I realized that barriers are aided on a higher basis
with restive outcomes.
While working with the team, there are various skills, which I developed or making the
productive current one. Skills such as communication, analytics and people engagement has also
enriched, with the help of practical or logical working and practices. Apart from this, main core
management & leadership skills such as frontier management, goal optimisations and also R&D
potential has also increased. Core project skills such as analytics, resource & time management,
costing, budget making are enriched with continuous practices & implementation. This taught
me the collaborative & complete team working with major focus on accomplishing. I also lead
my team in various situation such as developing the media or publicity plan using my present
knowledge & previous experiences. Hence, these skills are gained after huge hard-work and big
struggle with challenges/issues throughout the entire group project.
For given details, I realized that I still need to work on other skills such as patience, build
trust and people motivation. I also have tried to cover in this group project, but in my opinion,
this is not sufficient and adequate. For this, I have decided that I will do the continuous practices
with periodic evaluation of myself by taking feedback, views and opinions of my peers, friends,
colleagues and family to rate my potential and also generate the suggestion for the same. From
the discussed self-reflection, It reveals that I needs to develop further extra skills related to key
major management/leadership skills, competencies such as decision making, communication,
because of shy behaviour. These skills/competencies, traits are required to develop for better
performance in the future. These would be possible with help of professional development plan
