INTRODUCTION
When it comes to the entire health oriented infrastructure of UK, it has taken
numerous hits in recent times, especially due to the COVID-19 pandemic and it has become
necessary to attend project workshops to understand key skills in this regard and gain a
summary of the current healthcare scenario (Lee, and et.al., 2020). This report will comprise
of a summary regarding the critical overview of the health and social care sector of UK and
the role of the activities undertaken in the project workshop will be highlighted in generating
increased social and ethical awareness along with their role in enhancing personal
development and sense of responsibility.
MAIN BODY
One of the most major activities that helped increase my health and social awareness
was the panel debate between various industry expert of UK in the field of health and all the
major personalities were highly accomplished, had decades of experience in their
specialization and shared many industry specific insights such as impact and handling of
COVID-19 on the UK health infrastructure and the sensitive ethical question of patient data
collection and privacy. By listening in on this holistic activity, my social and ethical
awareness got much needed boost by picking the brain of people who are the best in the
industry. Another activity in the project workshop which built my ethical and social
understanding regarding healthcare in UK is a special lecture delivered by officials from
department of health and social care regarding one of the latest studies published in the field
which is based on ‘data saves lives, reshaping health and social care with data’ which was
very important for me as the current digital age has made it so that data must be used with
ethical constraints and frameworks (Mohammed, and et.al., 2018). By getting engaged with
this session, I got to learn about integration of new technologies into health and social care
such as cloud and smart systems. The project workshop overall was quite successful in
building my ethical and social awareness regarding health and social care in UK.
The project workshop also helped me a lot in my self-development as I got to learn
many skills which will help me in both professional and personal aspects going forward. By
listening to the industry experts regarding the devastating effects that people have had to
incur due to the advent of COVID-19, I developed keen sense of empathy towards people and
this also helped me form standards of personal responsibility to dedicate myself to causes and

activities concerned with social care. I also learned a lot of things such as how to effectively
structure an argument, develop active listening skills to perceive all the major points being
lectured about. I also learned about the way in which information technology is changing
health and social care which has convinced me to pursue gaining knowledge in this field
which will lead to all around development for me. To summarize the teachings and skills
which I learned from the project workshop, it was full of holistic and detailed learning
sessions which helped me develop personally and also built my sense of social responsibility.
CONCLUSION
The above report summarized the way in which project workshops help in
achievement of skills such as social and ethical awareness while also boosting one’s sense of
personal responsibility. The summary focused on the various activities which were a part of
the project workshop such as industry panel debate and specialized lectures from health and
social care experts and it was concluded that health and social care need ethical frameworks
as use of data is the next big revolution in the field.
