INTRODUCTION
Equality and diversity are considered as efficient factor that are required and are essential
to maintain a balance between the functions and operations of the society in an efficient and
appropriate way. Although there are various factors that act as negative enough and throws a
dark influence on the individuals, but it can be resolved using the help of various policies and
procedures that have been initiated by the government. The report is about analyzing various
policies that can help in dealing with issues like racism, discrimination etc. also, various
strategies can be included to cope with such issues.
TASK 1
Equality Act 2010
As per the Equality Act 2010, it is stated that there should be no sort of discrimination or
racism in any organization. Whether it is on the basis of colour, gender etc., but it is not allowed
at all. It has been observed that the people were discriminating the minority groups etc. Also,
there was a huge amount of discrimination on the behalf of colour of a person. Actually, the law
was developed by government because discriminating someone on the basis of colour, gender
etc. can actually throw a very negative influence on the mental stability of the person. So, it has
also been observed that various incidents happened because of this as well. When the rate of
incidents increased, then the government took this initiative to control it by preventive measures.
One of the very well known way was implementing an Act. Also, the act says if anyone found
guilty in this, they may have to pay huge penalties and also their punishment can lead to
imprisonment as well. This Act can be considered as an efficient and appropriate way to promote
equality and diversity because everyone has a right to live free, without any boundation etc.
focusing on such factors is considered as a very appropriate way by which features like diversity
and equality can stay maintained. There is a huge need of equality and diversity in training and
education because after so many cases of incidents, it is very import ant for everyone to
understand the fact and its consequences. They should also analyze that some smaller
discrimination can even throw a very negative influence on an individual’s mental stability and
then can do anything. So, for avoiding such sort of incidents, it is very important that everyone
can realize the negative and dark effects of discriminating with someone and ensure not to
involve in any such activity. It is important because the Equality Act 2010 leads to huge
penalties and imprisonment for the persons involved in the same.

stability of a person and can force the same to think that they are not perfect, so others are
teasing or discriminating them. So, I tried to explain them that just because for doing some sort
of fun and doing discrimination with an individual on the basis of color, race etc., is not cool.
Rather, it can reflect much negative. I made them understood various famous cases related to it. I
told them a very well know case when a boy goes for doing medical preparation and just because
their seniors wanted to have some fun, they made the boy do various activities and even forced
the boy as well. Due to it, the result was that the boy committed suicide and the other ones
responsible have been imprisonment. So, it somewhere affects both the lives. The boy died lost
his life because of this and the other individuals had been to prison, which also means excluding
from their daily and basic routines. So, I made them understand the whole concept widely and I
think, it would have really impacted positive enough on them to promote equality and diversity
among all.
B. Actions or strategies that can be used for achieving equality and diversity
Although there are various actions that can help in achieving diversity and equality, but some
that act can act more suitable and relevant enough for achieving equality and diversity are
discussed as under :
Changing the vision

between the girls and boys but it is important to change this vision. This though can act
contradictory with the achievements girls have these days. So, it should be ensured that these
factors are completely irrelevant and should be completely excluded, then the generation can
move forward in an efficient way. Such types of thoughts often act as a challenging factor while
achieving the targets and goals.
Making people aware of policies
When the individuals will be aware of the policies that have been initiated by the
government such as the Equality Act 2010, it is obvious that the ones who are interested in such
facts will also think before doing any discrimination or racism. It is because it has been clearly
