INTRODUCTION
Health and well being can be termed out as the physical, mental and social well being as
a resources for living a full life (Mozaffarian and et.al., 2016). In addition to this, components of
good health is inclusive of genetics, the environment, education and relationship. Therefore, the
good living conditions are fundamental to well being.
The present report is based on aims as to focussing on concepts of Health and Well-being
that analyse the effectiveness of F.A.S.T campaign in terms to reduce the impact of stroke.
Furthermore, study analyse the effectiveness of intervention on the health and well-being.
Also, impact of the social detriments of health on the effectiveness of the intervention.
Therefore, significance will be defined in terms to adopts the holistic approach. Lastly,
application will be conducted with help of relevant theories to undertake effective discussion on
health and well-being of employees.

Intervention is defined as the combination of program and element or plan of actions that
mainly decides to produce the behaviour changes. However, intervention is inclusive of
educational programs, stronger policies, improvements in environmental conditions and
campaign as health promotion.
FAST campaign- Public health of England accompanied by the stroke association. Therefore,
they have relaunched the National act as F.A.S.T stroke campaign. In addition to this, the main
aim of this campaign as to increase the awareness about the stroke. Stoke is termed out as to be
brain attack (Saposnik and et.al., 2016). In order to aware the people this campaign is taking
initiatives to advertise individuals from last so many years. It also considers as simple test to
supports people with most common signs of stroke. It mainly focuses on significance to act
quickly with help of dialling 999. Thus, F.A.S.T pronounced as-
 F- has the face of individuals fallen on one side.
 A- Can they enhance both arms and keep them there?
 S- Do speech of individuals slurred?
 T- Its time to call to 999.
AIM- To enhance the awareness about the stroke that must be considered as medical emergency
and this called out as aim of F.A.S.T campaign. Thus, it support the individuals to know the

signs as well as urge the individuals to see sign in relation to stroke by calling 111 immediately.
Therefore, this also motivates the people to investigate any single stroke symptom.
Additionally, Late diagnosed of Stroke resulted in tragic outcomes that is relate with
worst damages to death or brain. In the United Kingdom, this has been found out that there are
over 100000 strokes a year and its causing over 40000 death. If an individual suffers a stroke
then blood supply to part of brains cuts off (Network and et.al., 2016 ). This is medical
emergency that needs immediate attention as each minute is very crucial. This campaign was
framed to urges individuals to act without the hesitation to the both themselves and on behalf of
others. With the use of Dialling 999 and acting F.A.S.T saves the lives of various individuals.
This campaign gives stroke sufferers the best chance at recovery and this also potentially reduce
the long term effects.

Ecological- The concept of ecological model of heath behaviour puts major ficus on
environmental and policy context of behaviours. It is model that is believed to offer the
comprehensive framework in order to enhancing the understanding of varied and interacting
determinants of health behaviours (Thrift and et.al., 2017). It viewed the health as equilibrium
between environment and man as well the disease that must be considered as maladjustment in
terms to the human organism.
Social concept- It is concept that termed out as to putting the whole focus on education, policies
and health promotion. Therefore, this also considers the social, environmental, cultural as well as
environmental factors rather than to focus on disease and injury. These are termed out as
concepts that go beyond behaviours as well aspect of lifestyle that provides improvements within
health and well-being can be considered (Saunders and et.al., 2016). In addition to this, it
enhances the economic development of nations as population within good health and also leads
to productive lives.

Psychological concept- It is inclusive of the emotional, behavioural and social maturity to an
individual. This is also termed out as the concept that called out as advancement within social
science that reflects that health must not be taken as phenomenon but this also impacted through
cultural, social, economic and psychological components of individuals (Benjamin and et.al.,
2017). It is termed out as the factors that needs to taken into consideration due to measuring and
defining health outcomes of individuals. In addition to this, health is considered as to be the both
social and biological phenomenon.

This term is different from traditional model of medical this defines the health as absence

Method used for campaign- To bring improvement in the health and well-being of people in
the UK, the campaign named F.A.S.T being organized. In addition to this, targetting individuals
are covered as people who are suffering from high blood pressure, heart disease patients and
individuals who were likely to face issue such as stroke. In this method, the number of methods
are undertaking such as Television, Radio, Newspapers and social media outdoor advertisement
to make the individuals aware of the number of the disease from which they are suffering. It is
campaign that must be organized so that patients can easily investigate sign and symptoms of
stroke (Robinson and Jorge, 2016). Therefore, this also provide medication and intervention to it.
It will support the individual in relation to increase their outcomes of health. Individual are also
taking initiatives to make the posters and leaflet to aware people with symptoms of stroke and
provide medication to it. In this, the information such as helpline number and other will be given.
These all steps are needed to be taken in terms to aware people about campaign so that they do
not needs to face the conditions of stroke in future.
Impact of social determinants of health on effectiveness of interventions-:
Social determines of the health termed out as the detriments that commonly termed out as
the conditions in which people born, grow, work and age. In addition to this, the clear example
of social detriments can be termed out as to access to the food, housing and transportation that
intensify healthcare disparities. To manage the social determinants of health plays wider role to
the beneficiaries of legal authorities health care programmes as they automatically meets out the

standards for higher risk disparities in terms to aware the people about the health care
intervention the the people needs to have proper education in terms to affect of stroke on health
of an individual (Robinson and Jorge, 2016). Henceforth, this is very typical to generalize the

activities. It is the concept that mainly needs to be taken into consideration by focussing over the

Success of campaign-
The campaign as F.A.S.T was successful as there were lowered number of people who

Furthermore, assignment has covered the effectiveness of intervention on the health and
well-being. Also, impact of the social detriments of health on the effectiveness of the
intervention has been defined to identify the effective measure on outcomes to health of an
individuals. Therefore, holistic approach significance has been defined. Lastly, application has
been conducted with use of concepts on health and well-being of employees.
RECOMMENDATION-:
On the basis of above report suggesstive measures to campaign are outlined as-:
 This is highly recommended that awareness can be undertaken with use of campaign to
health communication to create and build the health policy. It leads to aware individuals
towards the stroke and its varied consequences.
 It is also suggested that goverment as well local agencies must taken initaitives to
promote the campaign with use of social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter,
social media and Whats app etc. They can able to promote the things with use of TV ads
and local newspapers.
 The members and other legal authorities to the campaign must work with social workers
to educate people about the conditions of stroke.
