INTRODUCTION
The motivation and encouragement to the users of health and social care services is been
given by using the concept of empowering the users and also the safety and protection is also
given to the individuals in social care services (Lewis and West, 2014.). In this report the current
legislation that promotes the rights of individuals in health and care services will be presented.
Also the factors that affects the rights of individuals in health care services will also be
presented. Further more the communication between care staff and individuals will be shown
that promotes the rights of individuals.
TASK-1
1.1 The current legislation and sector skills standards influencing organizational polices and
practices
In order to regulate, to authenticate, to sanction and to grant permit for the events that
will give security or protection to the public and local people legislation is a law that is been
defined by the government of the country (Tambuyzer, Pieters and Van Audenhove, 2014). In
the partnership with health professional, care, health managers the care standard act has been
developed .The care standard commission is been introduced by them which takes responsibility
for investigating and publication of the national minimum standard. The right for Mr Rano cane
be promoted and maximized by using the flowing polices and the practices. They are as follows-:
The process of inspection – The commission has been produced by the care standards act. The
inspection is been done by the hospital and care unit in which the Mr.Rano is residing for at least
twice a year. The first inspection that is taking lace is announced while the other is not
announced. By observing the care unit, the inspector only check the quality of services and
safety of patient. In order to insect they also talk with the patients , their family members and the
staff that is working over there (Kidd, Kenny and McKinstry, 2015).
Accountability – A right to complaint is also been given to Mr.Rano. Within the boundaries of
the law the social workers can act .At any time he can be called as he is an employee of the
organization in order to give justification about their services to the patients or court.
Giving service to vulnerable groups – Between social worker and the Miss Mel a conflict of
interest may arise.

1.2 The factors that affects the achievement of promotion
The factors that might affect the achievement of promoting and maximizing the right of
individuals in social health care services are as follows-:
Information - The full right is being given to the family of Mr .Rano to know about the treatment
that is been given to Mr. Rano with their side effects. In the easy way the important decisions
that is been taken need to be provided by the care unit so that their families can understand the
actions and procedures that is been taken by them. In order to grasp the treatment in caring and
supporting way the staff should give them help. In a caring and supportive way help should be
given by the staff. If in case it is been found by the family that procedure is harmful for Mr. Rano
then in this case they have the right to decline the procedure (Funk, 2016).
Empowering individuals – A positive and healthier environment need to be establish by the care
workers for Mr. Rano. The points such as respect for diversity, maintaining the privacy of the
patients, in planning and sporting involving the people and the promotion of right and choice
need to be included by the care workers.
1.3 Communication between care workers and individuals
In between two or more people communication is the exchange of ideas, thoughts, views
and opinion. In the communication not just words are included but body language eye contact
and tone of voice is also included. The big role in communication is being payed by the care
workers. In the above case study it is being mentioned that Mr .Rano was suffering from
dementia. In this the movement is not been by the person and also the communication ability is
also been loss by patient. The care workers is required to speak slowly in this case and to
comprehend form a simple sentence and to communicate the flow chart can be used by them and
messages that involve yes or no can be asked by them. They need to neglect a closed and
threaten body language. A lot of promoting and maximizing the right of users is been
contributed by the communication (Cameron and Coomber, 2014.).
 In the effective communication a clear information is been transferred .This will help in
promotion the right for the users and make decision.
 In order to make decision the user may have been given more control and independence.

CONCLUSION
Thus summing up the above report it can be concluded that the care standard act is been
produced in order to give proper care and support to vulnerable people. All the information
regarding a patient need to be given to their family members. A communication plays a big role
in the acre that is given by care worker to patients.
