health issues. As like Munny living in the Cambodian is facing stress and depression that he don’t
want to disclose to anyone, and this reserved behaviour is leading the mental health disorders,
these symptoms fall under high risk of the anxiety. These all majorly occur in an adult due to the
death of his spouse, fear of unemployment, force to do something unwanted activities. These all
were prevailing with the Munny as discussed in the case study and may lead the depression in the
patient (Ramirez, Ekselius & Ramklint 2013).
Question 1 B
Intervention is a process placed on the important place in the nursing; in the mental disorder case a
nurse need to be very cautious for emotional challenges of the patient. In the case of Munny, nurse
needs to deal the intervention by follow-up of step by step process that starts firstly with the
identification or assessment of the level of the stress, depression and anxiety in the Munny. By
observing his appearance and voice tone and the way of talking, afterward nurse need to consult
the interview regularly to acquire relevant information and feelings of patient to apply the next
step of treating the challenges (Beech & Harkins 2012).

Identifying the mental health issues in a reserved person is very difficult, Munny during the
conversation with the nurse was very restless and he was avoiding the eye contact and delivering
the answers unwillingly and most importantly he was unaware about his problem and about that
risk that was possible occur to his family due to his illness. These all factors of his behaviour was
indicating that he is aggrieved by an incident and trying to identify his fault this all was related to

the death of his mother and his failure to pass the interview. These symptoms, lack of motivation,
exhaustions was causing stress, anxiety and depression in Munny (Zuckerman & Wong 2019).
Question 2 B
After the identification, Munny required the effective dealing with the feelings of Munny about
the image he has created to maintain the dignity in the family and society that he had maintained
from his childhood. This personality maintaining stress and anxiety will require the intervention
which involves the therapeutic relationship to deal the emotions and communication of the client
about his beliefs and feeling and after that involving client in the intervention with his willingness
to recover and promoting the stable emotional health in the treatment will result positively. Nurse
here can use Motivational interview method to lead the Munny towards a better health (Prochaska,
Redding & Evers 2015).
Question 3
The American Nurses Association has introduced the aspect a nurse needs to consider in the
duration of Psychiatric treatment of a patient. There are some legal, ethical and professional rights
a mental patient have and that can create issues to the nurse treating Munny, Right to
confidentiality and Right to legal aid are the basic legal issue a nurse need to deal. Hence here in
the case nurse need to consider these legal issues and perform the treatment that is required
according his mental states, need to disclose all the case and medicine related information to the
patient and his family to avoid the breach of confidentiality and negligence issues (Akbari et al.
2019).
