I: Hello Sir, I am here to take your interview on investigating into project lifecycle for property
development business. I hope you aware of terms and ethical policies regarding the interview?
J: Yes, I have gone through it and I agree with your terms. Please go ahead.
I: Ok. Let us proceed with the interview. How long have you been associated with this
organization?
J: Well, (Laughs) I have associated with this organization for last 10 years.
I: What are the key challenges for our company today and how can those tackle effectively?
J: Well to be honest, the organization has inadequate scope definition which makes a trouble for
us while planning for the project. It provides effect on valuable resources and causes problems in
case of communication among the project team members. Change on the project is inevitable and
possibility of project scope is also inevitable. Scope is restricted and getting people on the board
is a key challenge for a successful project managers. In order to tackle this issue, our project
manager conducts face-to-face meetings with us when required to discuss the area where
concerns are raised.

I: Can you explain project lifecycle?
J: Look, a construction project has distinct phases where we have to carry out range of project
activities required to carry out the project work differ. There is distinct start phase where are
followed by organizing the project phase. Carrying out is execution part of the project and
closure phase is temporary activities related to the project to be closed. When we have performed
all the project stages based on performance, then the project is closed. By means of project
lifecycle standard, we achieve success in construction project.
I: Do you think the project manager have a significant role to play in project lifecycle phases?
J: Yes of course! Where would we be now with all their effort? (Smiles)
I: So, do you think project lifecycle is critical for any managers to deliver project to the client
successfully?
J: Why not? Everyone needs to launch a project and formal set of plans to outline the initial
project goals. Even I do! (Laughs)
I: Do you actually think that organization will fail to meet with growing demands of the
employees without lifecycle?
J: I do.

I: Why does a construction organization require new lifecycle for project management?
J: The construction professional team requires something which is more tailored to them. Our
organization typical operates on the cycle and human capital. New project lifecycle helps us to
become more efficient plus profitable. It emphasizes reporting and analyzes past projects.
I: Have you noticed any significant enhancement in the corporate performance after the
implementation of project lifecycle phases in construction project?
J: Yes, the project can become more profitable and we get success in the project effectively.
I: Have you noticed any negative impact of the lifecycle on the performances of the employees?
J: I have not noticed any negative impacts yet.
