Question 2
The prophecy and its fulfillment which spoke most to me is Zechariah 11:13 and
Matthew 27:3–10. According to this prophecy, there should be compensation for any piece of
work. What appeals most to me is the fact that both of the laborers were paid thirty pieces of
silver (James, 2016). The book of Zechariah prophesies that thirty silver coins will be returned to
the house of the lord. Judas comes to fulfill this by betraying Jesus at a price of thirty silver
coins. The prophecy teaches the entire of humanity that nothing that is achieved through illegal
means is just and appealing. Judas ends up returning the thirty silver coins he had received after
betraying Jesus as he feels that his earnings are unjustified. The prophecy also teaches me that

people were still making contributions in the house of the lord even in the old days. God values
hard work and dedication and this should be the basis of every person (The Holy Bible, 1986).
Question 3
I do believe that Jesus is the Messiah. The Bible verses clearly show that Jesus is the
Messiah. The Bible prophecies and their fulfillment essentially show that Jesus is the Messiah as
everything that had been prophesied comes to pass. The truth is that everything about the
Messiah that was prophesied in the Old Testament comes to be fulfilled in the New Testament
(Hodous, 2016). The lifestyle, lineage, birthplace and time which were prophesied in the Old
Testament come to be fulfilled in the New Testament by the Messiah who is Jesus. Micah 5:2
states that the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem. The prophecy later comes to be fulfilled in
the book of Mathew 2:4-6 as Jesus is born in Bethlehem (Hodous, 2016).
It is evident John the Baptist was prophesied as the helper who would come to prepare
the way for the Messiah (Malachi 3:1). In the book of Mark 1:2-8, the prophecy is fulfilled as
John the Baptist is heard saying that he is the one who has come to prepare the way for the
Messiah, the son of God (Hodous, 2016). Zechariah prophesies that a King is coming soon and
everybody should be ready for him as he is the Messiah. Jesus fulfills the prophecy of Zechariah
as he enters Jerusalem riding on a donkey and repeating Zechariah’s words.
All the prophesies and their fulfillments are just an indication that Jesus was the true
Messiah. There is enough evidence showing that Jesus’ life manifests that of a true Messiah.
Jesus worked many miracles, impacted the lives of humanity positively and restored
relationships (Fletcher-Louis, 2017). Other false Messiahs have always been criticized for their

unholy behaviors and actions. The false Messiahs were not predicted anywhere in the Bible.
Jesus comes to fulfill everything that had been prophesied about the Messiah. Jesus proves to be
the true Messiah by rising from the dead (Fletcher-Louis, 2017).
