INTRODUCTION
Learning is defined as the change in the behaviour of individual due to the indirect and
direct experiences. In other words it refers to the changes in the attitudes and behaviour due to
the training and education, experience and practice. It is a process that is completed by
acquisition of skills and knowledge that are relatively permanent. The present essay shows the
various different techniques of reflection. It shows my experience of the PSKC module and thus,
identifies the my strengths and weaknesses. And also explains the development plan for meeting
the future challenges.
MAIN BODY
Reflective thinking refers to the considering what, why one did or plan to do. It refers to
better understanding of the exploring the feelings, reactions, emotions and knowledge. There are
various that individuals use in reflection. The schon model of reflection uses two techniques that
is learning in-action and on-action (Hébert, 2015). Learning in-action refers to the individual
ability in reacting and thinking while they are engaged in an ongoing activity. Learning on-action
refers to the when an individual evaluated the activity again. The schon model of reflection is
important for both the extroverts and the introverts. On the other hand, the Kolb's model of
reflection consist of four stages (Morris, 2020). It is an experiential model that is based on one's
own experiences that is reviewed, evaluated and analysed systematically in stages. This model
helps in becoming a better reflective practitioner by doing, thinking, reflecting and repeating the
process again. However, the discoll model of reflection is one of the most simplest way of
reflection that consist of three stages that is what, so what and now what. With answering the
three questions it helps in analysing the experiences and learning from these experiences. It is
one of the most easiest and most common reflection tool used by the individuals and
practitioners.
What are the steps involved in the driscoll model of reflection that is the first step of the
model is what which describes the brief explanation on the experiences on which reflection is
done by analysing what exactly an individual did and what happened (Allan and Driscoll, 2014).
With the introduction of PSKC model through webinar I was able to develop my study skills and
employability skill as well that resulted in enhancing my performance efficiency. This model of
preparation of knowledge and creativity was very was all about enhancing teh skills sets of teh

individuals. It came out to be a very useful model for individuals like me. Enrolling with this
type of model really helped me in building me skill sets. It turned out to be a very good
experience as in this webinar our lectures help us in enhancing our knowledge and creativity
through application of various techniques that were effective in improving and polishing my
skills and knowledge. It involved various other individuals and key faculties and group
discussions were held for enhancing our leadership skills. Also, with participation in this module
it also helped in developing not only professional skills but also, helped in improvement of
personal development.
The second step of the model includes so what which describes the reaction and emotions
on the occurrence of the specific experiences. With the introduction of the PSKC module it
helped me preparing for success that is it boosted my self development that resulted in enhancing
my leadership skills and social and ethical awareness. Firstly, when i entered the model I was
really scared and nervous about how will this model help me my development and also will I be
able to fit in this model. But gradually with time, I realised that this model really helped me
development of my skills and knowledge. Most importantly this PSKC model, helped in
identification my strengths and weaknesses that is the understanding of which are my high points
and skills that i need improvement in. This, module had an overall impact on my personal
development. It helped me in boosting my morale and confidence that is it helped me in
enhancing my communication skills and decision making skills that are one of the most
important skills and individual require professionally and in personal life.
And lastly, the third stage includes the now what stage where it describes the learning
outcome from the past experiences and taking the corrective action plan for the future similar
experiences. From, the PSKC module, I got to learn many things thus, building my personality
and enhancing my knowledge and creativity for the future. It not only helped me in career
development but also in personal development. However, this model not only just helped me in
identifying my highs and lows but also helped me in taking corrective actions and development
of action plan so that I can improve my weaknesses and can utilise the full potential of the
opportunities I get. Also, this model helped in identification of situations and their outcomes and
how i will react in these situations. Thus, this model really helped in development of my
personality and enhancing the skills and knowledge that I require as a professional. Also, most
importantly it focused on enhancing the creativity level of individuals that is very much

necessary in today’s times. It can e said, with the participation the PSKC model was very
beneficial in professional and personal development by building and enhancing the creativity,
knowledge and skills.
CONCLUSION
From the above essay it can be concluded, that there are various models taht are used in
reflection practices. Every model has its own ways and techniques in evaluation of teh activities
or ourselves. However with the use of the driscoll model, I have reflected my experience of the
PSKC module. It helped me analysing various strengths and weaknesses which i have. Also, it
has helped me development of action plan for improving and enhancing the skills and knowledge
where i lack and need to improve. At the end, it can be concluded it helped in development of
professional and personal development as well.
