Impact of role and nature of organization on leadership approach
Leadership is an important requirement in all the types of businesses and it is required that the
same shall be managed in an effective manner (Doody and Doody, 2012). The structure and
nature which is followed in the organization affect the approach which is to be followed. In the
nursing profession, there is the need to follow the proper approach as the exact treatment is made
and there shall be no default in the process which affects the health of any patient in adverse
manner. The critical incident arises in all the businesses and they are required to be handled with
care (Wong, Cummings and Ducharme, 2013). There is the need to identify the requirements and
then the process shall be developed accordingly. The psychiatric hospital deals with the mental
patients and in that case a high quality of the care is required. There was a patient which whom I
was dealing and due to some issues, the case got worse. The nature of the organization affects
the approach as the process will then be managed in the required manner. The medicines which
are to be provided to the patients required specific knowledge and so the task cannot be allocated
to any random person (Scott and Miles, 2013). I was required to provide this duty to the potential
member who would have taken care of the requirements in the most effective manner possible.
The leadership which is to be maintained in the health care requires integration of the care. There
will be an appropriate relation which will be developed by me with all the members who are
working under me. Due to the particular nature of the medical profession, it is necessary that the
leadership style shall be chosen after taking into consideration all the necessary elements which
are involved (Matsuo, 2012). The transformational leadership is available which can be
undertaken as in that motivation will be provided to all the members by creating an effective
relationship with them and that way the issues which are arising in the current system will be
avoided. This style helps in creating confidence among all and they are able to communicate
with each other through which their vision is expressed in relation to various situations which are
arising. The productivity will be increased by this and the patients will be attended with much
responsibility and care. All the staff under me will be satisfied with the jobs which are provided
to them by the approach and this is selected on the basis of the role which is being played in the
organization (SHAPIRA‐LISHCHINSKY, 2014). As I am a charge nurse so will be attending all

are noticed by me and that way the treatment will be provided accordingly. The physical fitness

patient and treat all with equality. All have their personal reasons and consequences because of
which they are in such position and so the understanding will have to be developed which will
help in building a positive bond with the patients (Dignam et al., 2012). The ability shall be
