INTRODUCTION
Psychological testing is the process of managing the tests that are associated with the
person's psychology (Baerwalde and et.al., 2019). These have been administered by the trained
evaluators. This report will illustrate the relevance of psychological assessments involving
questionnaire and tests that helps to analyse personality and intelligence research.
MAIN BODY
Psychological assessments are the ones who help to evaluate individuals cognitive skills
along with their personality traits. According to the evaluators, these are the kind of assessments
that assist whether the individual is capable of flourishing into specific professional role or not.
This activity plays a major role into understanding certain aspects regarding mental ability as
well as behavioural style that companies are able to measure at the time of conversations and
interviews (Buckley, Gilbert and Bauman, 2019). According to Michell, psychological
assessments that involves tests and assessments do not constitute proper scientific measurement
but as per various studies, it has been identified that psychological tests contributes their
significant part or information towards the understanding of individual characteristics and
capabilities with the help of integrating, collecting and interpreting the information about an
individual.
In order to grab such informations, there are various sources and methods that has been
utilized such as records obtained from referral sources, records gathered from other agencies,
interviews conducted with the person who is required to be examined, through their behavioural
observations, interview with collaborative sources which involves friends, family, tutors and
others and the last one is with formal psychological testing. The concept of psychometric tests is
not new to anybody and has been found that more than 81 percent of tests shows appropriate
results towards an individual and assist in order to predict the future performances of an
individual. These are the ways to measure a person's mental capabilities and behavioural style.
This is the reason that it has been used by employers in order to choose the best candidates for
the specified job roles.
Although there are many people who are not in the favour of such kind of tests as
according to them it is a fake method to identify and evaluate someone's personality because few
questions are not enough to judge anybody's overall personality in complete manner. Apart

from this, it has also been evaluated that the time at which the person is giving replies also may
vary because of their mood during that specific point of time also enables the investigating
person to identify the exact results. Hence, it had not proved to become a complete procedure
which has been compatible for each and every person in real context (Li and et.al., 2020). But
with the involvement of psychometric tests or approaches, the investigator is able to identify
somehow the intelligence level of an individual because it obtains dissimilar scores from many
people over variety of tests and the correlation among all the test scores help in order to grab the
tentative analysis of an individual which assist the investigator to analyse the person in
somewhat manner.
CONCLUSION
From the above report, it has been concluded that just like other topics, psychometric
testing also have their own concepts in context of their benefits and drawbacks in their own
manner which helps to evaluate the personality of an individual.
