INTRODUCTION
The following report will provide information about the role and function of nursing. There is
discussion about various roles of nursing. The development of the responsibilities of this
specialist. There is understanding and analysis of the foundation of the psychologists (Mather,
Gale, and Cummings, 2017).There discussion about the occupational strategies, status and
power position with the profession. The present report is about occupation of psychologist.
Description of tasks, duties, responsibilities of ''Psychologist''
Psychologist:-
Psychologist are the person who take care of the human's mental, emotional, psychological
health. They study human behaviour, nature, felling and mind. Psychologist solve human life
issues, mental and emotional issues. If a person suffering from depression, anxiety, work
pressure, fear, addiction they can concern to a psychologist. They also help in building relations,
reduce stress, trough experiment, observation, analysis (Motakpalli, and et.al, 2018). They
focus on human mental and emotional health and always try to do some experiments on human.
Today's generation is more concern to a psychologist because they make their life too busy and
stressful. Their study is only based on human.
Clinical psychologists are the ones which treat mental as well as emotional disorders in an
individual. These provide help to people for short term. These psychologists are provided
training for analyzing various ways of treating individuals. Some clinical psychologists
emphasize on particular population discussed below -
Health psychologists study the various factors by which health and illness can be
analyzed. These psychologists give knowledge to medical staff as well as patient for
promoting the health strategies.
Neuropsychologists study the relation between the brain and behavior. They typically
work with patients who have sustained a brain injury.
Clinical psychologists are those who take viewpoints of other medical professionals for
providing the right type of treatment.
Counseling psychologists advise people on how to deal with problems. They provide help in
understanding the issues which are faced by patients.

Developmental psychologists study the psychological progress and development that takes
place throughout life
Forensic psychologists use psychological principles in the legal and criminal justice
system to help judges individuals.
Tasks Perform by ''Psychologists''
Psychologists perform various task related to human mental and emotional health. They
psychologically diagnose and treat their patients. Provide better assessment and recommendation
for human psychological disorder. Manage persons issues related to life. Their task is to
understand human nature, behaviour through their study. They not only work at hospitals but
also at schools, colleges, business firm. Sometimes their task is vary on the basis of their
speciality. They bring positive vibes in human and focus on the mental and emotional growth.
They always work with scientific methods on human behaviour (Johnson, 2019). They try to do
some experiments on human. They also work with many companies and improve their quality of
work, help in increasing profit by taking care of mental health of employees. They also perform
their task at school level, they help students to overcome from depression, fear, stress. They help
human in identifying their power, skills. They also improve human personality, perceptions,
attitude.
Responsibility of Psychologists
Psychologist responsibility is towards society for taking care of people’s mental health. Provide
a better and good treatment to the patients. Always try to solve the issues of their patients. They
have to do social work for their society like provide good assistance at their clinic, concern about
the health and hygiene of the patients (Benton, and Shaffer, 2016). They also provide personal
assistance at patient home because sometime it is not possible for patient visit the clinic. Treat
their patients with peaceful mind and try to make them feel comfortably. Always try to boost the
moral of patients. Responsibilities towards their clinic, psychologist have to maintain their clinic,
taking care of the cleanness of clinic, this help them in taking care of their patient. Responsible
for improving human work life, by reducing the level of stress. They focus on the development
of human mental, emotional health. They insist their patients to maintain social interaction this
help to overcome from depression, stress, fear. Psychologist responsible for taking care of
student health. They examine their patients on the basis of their observation, experiments. They

develop many theories on human behaviour according to the changes taking place in the human
life (. How the nursing profession can contribute to sustainable (Yi and Keogh, 2016). Always
try their experiment after implementing on a sample because they take care of their patients. For
any psychologist their patient is their first priority. Psychologist are really concern for their
society. They always try to help people.
Salary of psychologists
The salary of psychologists analysed in the year 2010 was $68,640 per year. As per the
Bureau of Labor Statistics report, it is concluded that the average salary for different
psychologists included different elements like Clinical, counselling, and school psychologists.
These people can easily make $73,090 in an year. On the other hand, industrial-organizational
psychologists are said to be involved in analysing the behaviour at workplace. According to the
bureau of labor, it was seen that there is a special category of occupation of the psychologists and
this is provided under the statistics of earning approximately $85,800.
Development and changes of a human service profession/occupation, with particular focus on
policy and regulation
There are total 13 areas of psychology. This includes clinical health, couple and family,
psychoanalysis, or rehabilitation. There is no requirement of board certification in the
psychologists. There is need of explaining professional expertise within a particular area. There
are few hospitals which do not need certification. There is need for the psychologists that they
must be having degree in psychology (doctoral degree) Occupational closure strategies, status
and power position in relation to other related professions/occupations, the job market and
society. Psychologists are the ones who provide medical treatment to individuals and ensures that
people are not having emotional and stressful situations in their lives. They must know how to
manage them.
Successes and the downfalls of the professional/occupational group chosen i.e. nursing
There are both advantages and disadvantages of every profession. In context of the nursing
profession, there are several downfalls as well as success. Some of these are mentioned below –
Successes
The foremost benefit of being a psychologist is that it helps in rewarding and helping
people and overcoming their challenges.

It also provides flexible working schedule. This means that psychologists can fix
meetings and sessions for their customers or patients on their own.
Psychologists have the potential to earn as much amount they want. Patients coming to
take psychologists sessions are asked to pay high amount.
For becoming a psychologist there is high growth in career and becoming an
entrepreneur.
Psychologists work with several people and know their problems and challenges faced in
life. This gives a great pleasure to solve and other person’s personal problems.
Downfalls
Sometimes the clients are very stressful and become problem for the psychologists to
solve their struggles.
There are some situations where psychologists are on call and this may lead to issues of
client and results in inconvenient time.
Psychologists are known to be self-employed and thus helps in operating their own
practices effectively. but on the other hand the launching of a psychology practice is also
a daunting task.
another issue faced in this occupation is the building issue which includes collecting and
processing of payments from the insurance companies, unpleasant experience of clients,
dealing with the paper files.
Conclusion
From above discussed topics it can be concluded that the nursing profession is a growing
sector and individuals have great opportunity to enhance their growth. Psycologists have
different roles and responsibilities and main thing is that they provide attention to mental health
of people. This includes taking care of their well being and mental health.. While doing this, it
has been seen that with the increase in years, medical science has find various techniques and
tools for managing and treating mental health.
