1PSYCHOLOGY
The concept of integration is very important for the concept of psychology. This has
become the most significant part for the development of the psychological issues in the
contemporary society. According to the views of Carl Jung, the process of individuation is very
crucial for the process of the development of psychology (Entwistle, 2015). The individuals must
be separate himself from the outside world to prove that he is completely different and unique
from others. The collective unconscious feelings and the entire individual will feel integrated to
make the personality of that individual unique by all the ways (Watts, 2018). Through this
process of integration, the development of the self through maturity can be found. Integration is
definitely the positive development of psychology so the individuals can establish themselves as
unique ones.
Some critics have discussed the fact that the integration between the individuals and
Christian worldview must be assimilated in order to achieve the goals of psychology. The
psychologists feel that the development of the worldview and its integration with the common
people should be followed by the Scripture (Entwistle, 2015). There are psychological theories
and models that are completely based on naturalism. However, some of these models are very
much insufficient. This is why the integration between psychology and Christian worldview has
become the need of the hour (Watts, 2018). The messages of the Gospel will provide the basic
ideas for the secular worlds and Christian beliefs in psychology. This is why many psychologists
in today’s world use process of Biblical counseling.
