which explains how the behaviour of the people are great influenced by their though
process is cognitive theory. The cognitive theory is mainly based on the assumption
that thoughts are primary determinants of the emotions as well as behaviour.
According to this theory, though process of the human beings is one of the major
determinant that greatly influences their behaviour. This theory has tried to explain
that anxiety is tendency mostly to overestimate potential for the danger. People who
are suffering from anxiety ten to imagine worst possible situation as well as avoid
the scenario which they realize are highly dangerous like crowds, social interaction
etc. This theory has played a great role in explaining the overall incidence of
anxiety. As per this theory, the dysfunctional thoughts of people results in the
extreme conditions. These conditions basically results in the maladaptive behaviour
and thus leads to high level of anxiety within them.
Another major theory in psychology which clearly depicts the effects of
anxiety in everyday life of people is the psychodynamic theory. This theory has
basically explained and described anxiety as the conflict and dispute between id as
well as ego. The aggressive as well as impulsive drivers might be experienced
leading to the repression. These repressed drives later on might break through the
repression and thus resulting in the automatic anxiety. The psychodynamic theory
mainly describes the social anxiety as one of the biggest and large problem which
usually develops during the childhood. The followers of this theory basically views
anxiety as the childhood disorder and are not the immediate result of adulthood.
According to this theory, the social anxiety mainly results within people due to early
experiences as well as attachments to the caregivers. This approach predominately
stresses that the human behaviour is largely determined by the intrapsychical
impulses, motives, desires as well as conflicts.
