the keys and forgetting the wallet and the main aim of targeting this aspect of the memory is
to develop a more focused and attentive mind. This will help the individuals to concentrate on
their work and then perform the work properly. The main causes of absentmindedness
involve low attention level on a single object of focus that makes the person oblivious for all
the things that are present around them. This can be due to the unwanted attraction, or
distraction from the work by some external stimulus. These external stimulus can be due to
the environmental events and the irrelevant thoughts (Reb, Narayanan & Ho, 2015).
Memory Strategies
The memory strategies that can be used for the correction of the absent mindedness
involves a number of methods such as avoiding multitasking. As the main reason for being
absent minded is the lack of attention and focus. Thus, if a person is usually absent minded
then they should avoid multitasking (Schacter, 2013). They should focus on single task and
that will help in reducing the forgetfulness of the individual. The person should try to perform
only a single thing at a time and should not carry out multiple tasks at the same time. This
will help them to focus on the work that they were doing currently and can also perform the
tasks more efficiently. The next strategy that can be used to reduce absentmindedness
involves exercise. It is seen that physical exercise helps to improve the cognitive
function of the individuals. It helps to keep the body healthy and also to improve the
circulation that means that the brain is able to get the oxygen more efficiently and
effectively (Meins et al., 2013).

individual who are suffering from absent mindedness. The positive effects that are seen by
