 Describe your approach to identifying and analyzing peer-reviewed research
To identify peer-reviewed is identified by asking some questions which provide appropriate answers enough for
identification. These questions include: is it written by a scholar? What is it about? Who is intended audience? How is it
structured? How is it written? And lastly, what’s the publication type?
Is it written by the scholar? - This has questions like; doers the author has credentials or degrees or does he have
association or affliction? For example, doers he or she works on the hospital or university or any similar organization. The
purpose of the article is checked well for original research so as to enhance better understanding on the topic. Also when
identifying the peer-reviewed research one has to look the heading, formatting and the length of the article among many others.
The peer-reviewed research, after creation it is evaluated quality, disseminated and kept well for future use. They include
informal channels and journals.
 Identify at least two strategies that you would use that you found to be effective in finding peer-reviewed research
The strategies for effective peer-review research include creating my own research, using information I already know,
use of key words phrases, truncation and subject heading, picking a database and evaluating my research. Example, use of

right data base can lead to effective peer-reviewed research. The leading good database for science, medicine, social science
among others includes the Scopus and web of science. The other is the proQuest is largely merges with arts and humanities.
The other strategy is use of certain words. These words are phrase search which is the use of quotes I a double manner
around the phrase so as to clip those words together. Use of truncation- this cuts words to become short and use an alternate
word. Example develop*which may tend to mean develop, development and developing. The other words that can be used
include use of OR to mean alternative and use of AND to mean combination of concepts.
 Identify at least one resource you intend to use in the future to find peer-reviewed research
For future reference of peer-reviewed research include peer-reviewed journal which is usually written and reviewed by several
experts who are well specialized in that field before its final publication into journal so as to ensure high article. The other
resource include newspapers and magazines and also some other journals which contain the information. These articles are not
reliable as they are written by reporters who may not necessarily be experts hence they may contain irrelevant information.
