PSYCHOLOGY 2
I am planning to be good human resource specialist of the globally reputed firm where
I am into training the employees of the company. The educational requirements that are
required for me to fulfill my career path is pursing the post-graduation in business
administration as it would give me insights and experiences in the area of management and
would be better pre-occupied with the knowledge to sustain the future career.
Social psychology is the field that is connected with the thoughts, feelings of humans
and how they get affected in the presence of other people. These thoughts, feelings and
behaviors are the psychological attributes of the people that affect their perception (Aktas,
2016). The social psychology is something that bridges the difference between psychology
and sociology. It was first evolved in USA during 20the century (Maltby, 2016).
Initially the branch of the knowledge discussed the social interaction with people and
their inferences and later on it evolved into various theories and concepts. The social
psychology theory attempted to establish the cause and effect relationships with the of
various social interactions.
Other than the social psychology, there are various other disciples that include social
psychology and social science. One thing that is similar in all these is the component of the
Human being in it but the field of social psychology is different from these disciples as it
involves the interaction and the impact, a human being has on other human being (Samuels,
2017).
The subject of social psychology can be helpful in my career path, as it will improve my
understanding of the timeless concepts of social interactions of humans. It will be very
helpful in my career of becoming human specialist in the reputed organization. With the help
of social psychology, I would be able to tap in the mindset of human beings thus will be able
to motivate them in the best manner making them achieving the higher level of productivity
(Williams, 2017).
2.
The research topic that I have chosen is “how positivity of senior employees affects
the performance of employees”. The following topic will be strong research topic as it is the
most debated topics in the recent time where employers are concerned with improving the
productivity and growth level of the employees.

PSYCHOLOGY 3
Moreover, the topic is highly valued in today’s times as it allows organizational
culture in the most possible manner. The topic is also connected with the future ambition as I
desire to be the Future human resource specialist in the global reputed firm. Moreover, the
topic of social psychology would be highly useful in my topic of research as I would be able
to relate social research with my future ambition.
The research topic will ease me in the process of understanding the nature of human
beings, as in future I would be dealing with humans as human resource specialist. The prior
knowledge that I had regarding the topic is understanding of the human nature as previously I
did internship as trainer in a small firm. The internship gave me great insight regarding the
topic of research topic.
3.
The methods that can be used to develop working knowledge of the topic are
experimental and literature review methods. In an experimental method, a survey can be
conducted among the employees of around 2 to 3 firms which will be helpful for me to
understand that whether the employees productivity got affected or not with their senior
employers behavior or not.
The survey can be conducted using interviews and questionnaires. The second method
that can be used is literature review method where various literatures regarding the
motivational theories and employees’ behavior can be studied and conclusions can be made
accordingly.
The topic of the research can be narrowed down by focusing on the particular department of
the company, as the sample size of the research will be small enough to conduct the extensive
research.
