Psychology is the study of mind. It is also said that it is not limited with mind and behaviour
but also include health, human development etc. This study will discuss two major psychological
studies.

It is the common notion that more engagement of digital screen is reducing adolescent well
being and it is become serious topic of discussion nowadays. This conversation has becomes
important. Recent psychological evidence says that screen time reduces the well being of the
adolescent. Previously in the 20th century when there were no more screen but only the TV
screen at that time also adults used to say children that don’t watch much television other it will
destroy the well being. As adolescent is the very important age as that time growth of the
children has takes place so during that time regular using screen by the children can weak their
eye sight. Well being plays very important role in the life of human (Orben and Przybylski,
2019). It is not ethical that children uses screen so much and also on daily basis. The same
impact or even more impact has seen in today’s world.
As the use of digital screen has increased in adolescent as compare to previous times.
Teenagers are more engaged in using screen and does their work on computer only. The desktop
of the computer is the digital screen and excess usage of the computer screen can affect the
wellbeing of the children. Nowadays studies are also conducting online only and to study
children have to face screen. To balance their teenager should start using digital screen only for
necessary work. The unnecessary work which is done by students using digital screen should be
avoided. Previously only it has clear that excessive using of digital screen can influence health of
the teenagers. Research has also found that it is not good that adolescent is using screen entire
day. As more use of screen or using the screen on daily basis can increase anxiety level among
the teenagers. They started becoming angry for no reason and can also went into depression.
Adults should help children and guide them that how they should use screen. Children should fix
their time in a day or fix number of hours that at that particular hours only they will use the

interested in playing games on electronic device via digital screen and not going outside.
Outdoor games are hardly played. As children wanted to remain at their home and play games on
devices. This is not right as this has adverse consequences. When teenager does not go outside of
their house and remain inside than they did not get the opportunity to make new friends.
Sometimes this even creates loneliness amongst them. So that is why encouragement should be
given to outdoor games and adolescent should decrease the use of digital screen so that they can
improve their well being. As to remain healthy is the most important thing.

From the above psychological study it can be interpreted that well being is the vital thing and
especially when it comes to adolescent. As it is the growing stage so any miss happening at this
stage can be dangerous. From 20th century only it is said that over using of screen can destroy the
well being of adolescent and this can be seen in today’s world also as teenagers are using screen
more and more for playing games or uses social media via electronic devices. Due to pandemic
education is also done through online medium. This is not the good sign for the health of teens.
Parents should make sure that their children are not using screen much.

theory which comes under psychotherapy can be helpful to fight against depression. The theory
says that thoughts can affect on emotions. When individual will think negative than that can
contribute in increasing depression. When individual is engaged in negative thoughts than they
will not think any good.
This therapy helps patient to identify the pattern of negative thoughts. Than this theory help
to convert the negative thought into the positive idea which enhances the mood. Another therapy
is the interpersonal therapy. It says that interpersonal conflicts and not getting proper social
support contributes into depression. In this therapists try to know issues which was in past or
there is present through interacting with the individuals. While in the treatment it has taken one
or two issues and tried to solve it. The therapy examine the relationship in the life of people
which include family , partner, parents, friends, colleagues etc. The main objective of finding the
relationship is the role which they play in the patient’s life and how it will be helpful in solving
the conflicts. It is also said that along with therapies changes in the lifestyle can also helpful to
fight against depression.
